Wow Alex. That is heavy duty work. The noise you hear on filming day was nothing. They are just building up the form work for concrete. When it comes to concrete pour time there will be a lot more noise. It’s such a shame for the guys that have paid good money to stay at these apartments

Very important information for people who have booked these hotels, apart from the noise the dust could be a problem, especially on windy days. I would seriously consider changing booking if I was holidaying near these sites. Fantastic job making everyone aware of this.

Thanks for this video! Im staying in rosa del mar in may & had emailed them, they replied today saying they 'have not been annoyed by any significant building noise', but now seeing this! Im more worried about noise & vibration of heavy machinery as someone in our party would have sensory overstimulation if this was bad! Oh dear

Hello, not sure when you are going, but they should let you know nearer the time. The site has just got underway, and it's a project that will be ongoing until November 2025. Your travel company should provide you with accurate information and options nearer the time of your trip if necessary, bearing in mind the site will go through various stages of construciton. The RdM is geographically not as close to the site as the others, so hopefully you should be OK:

That video was very informative. I feel sorry for people who have booked, even if it’s not noisy the view will be spoiled, and the dust. I would never book with TUI after having a bad experience with them all they are interested in is taking your money, and if I may say you sound pretty angry about it. Thanks Alex.

At least though Tui are offering to move guests (not sure of the dates), of their stay, so at least they are quick off the mark in offering this as an option. They wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't necessary.

Hi Alex Your films are brilliant, I first visited Palma Nova when I was 19, and decided to revisit now I am 75. I have booked to stay in the Son Matias in June. The information and the tour of the hotel told us everything we needed to know even about the clothes pegs for the washing line. Do you know of walking tours of Palma itself, also what does a taxi cost from the airport to San Matias

Stayed at Rosa del mar last year it’s a lovely hotel , that building work hasn’t really started yet trust me that noise will be unbearable , hope the hotels get compensated , I would of been going again this year but the price has rocketed for the same hotel 😞

Oh bless you - so to put in perspective the works will take place in the day and it’ll be quiet at night - not sure what time they start - maybe around d 8-9am and will go on for most the day depending on what they are doing . But jet2 have warned you so if you accept the holiday you may not be able to move if you find it to be worse than you thought. With your MIL and small baby it maybe better to move if you’ve been warned and don’t want the noise disturbance around the pool. The site is pretty big. I’ve been slated by locals claiming that there won’t be any noise but look at the size of the site and the location to the hotel and the fact the works are going on til Nov 25! The staff there are great however if this isn’t what you’ve paid for maybe look at your other options. It’s a hard decision. I’ll be back there soon for an update

Hi Alex Thanks for this report as my wife and I booked Jet2 rosa mar senses after enjoying a stay last Oct. I can confirm that after seeing the video I spoke today to Jet2 Cs and explained scenario and the lady spoke to dept dealing with issues with hotels and they have had no report from anyone at mar senses group or feedback.However I advised Jet2 I had several times used the Aldi and walked through the alleys where the site is now building,there are clearly 2 of Cranes huge Cranes sited next the studio block,spa and sports facilties . So Jet2 have been asked bu us to check on this We agreed to give them a week then callback and unless that dept do the same as Tui and offer alternatives we would have to pay £50 each to change accom.and loose the discount we got which has now ended. I have actually raised the issue with the hotel and maybe if you have te you could ask Jet2 Thanks Dwt

Hello, it may be worth waiting for a while. Your holiday isn't until October, and also, they won't know what the building works will be like by then (probably still there as building will go on until November 2025). If these works will cause a problem then, they have to tell you and give you options to change or cancel for free. So my advice is to hang fire and don't incurr any further costs.I'll be back in the area soon though with updates.

Sorry to hear - if you're are coming over soon, I would definitely recommend contacting them. They have to advise. Maybe because this hotel is geographically a little further away, you may be OK... they should advise though.

Don't be put off Palmanova - these works won't affect the vast majority of the resort... just the far end on the inbeteween bit with Palmanova, and only a part of that too. Palmanova is a great resort!

TUI told me heavy machinery will be on the site. I have construction industry viewers who say the same. I tried to give a balanced view of the site and I shown what it is like at the moment. Can you guarantee it will be like this in the next couple months ? Because I can’t. And nor can TUI.
