I chose the first option as well. I personally felt like your Uncle was there teaching you, guiding you and comforting you throughout the horrible things that have come your way. You were going to be formally adopted as his son and you loved each other as such but then because of me choosing this wayward path in order to actually save our people, our relationship is tarnished. I haven't listened to my uncle's words through this whole game. I felt like this is the final time and can show him any amount of respect and honor by granting his wish. And i will sob every time i choose it.

That’s how I felt. Jin may not have agreed with Shimura but he loved him as a father and still respected what mattered to him.

I felt so mixed about it, but on seeing both endings I preferred the route I chose. Both very valid choices though for different reasons

I went with the second ending you did. I still feel like I picked the right one at least for me of course everyone is different. :) I’ve really enjoyed watching the lets play Caz looking forward to the next games on the channel.

I went with the second one as well at the end of the day that's his family family over everything also Jin accepts that he's the ghost now and he's for the people not politics

I like the second option better. The games titled by the hero who did something extraodinary for his country. Meaning, to do something against all "reasonable" traditions Jin Sarkai had been taught all his life and break the rules to do the right thing. For that he sacrificed his honor and maybe of his family (depending on shogun). Sparing Lord Shimura means becoming the Ghost of Tsushima.

I think it should be it's own thing not like red dead 2 its like you wanted it to be more like red dead 2 with the honour and not honour thing but l enjoy it and did not mind what it was without it being too much like red dead 2

Neither ending is comforting, but I went with sparing his uncle, because it just didn’t feel right to kill him. But regardless, both endings are hard to watch. Shame Ghost of Yotei is 329 years after Ghost of Tsushima, which means Jin Sakai won’t be in it. We most likely never will learn the later story of his life after Ghost of Tsushima’s ending. I have wanted to play this game again, but its whole story is so dark and depressing…

I spared him. I felt like Jin wanted to embrace the gosth, and that bit where he puts the mask is just glorious. Loooove the whole playthrough, and I actually finished my second run yestarday! This game introduced me to you two and I just loved every second of it. And also... Kunai 👻

I don't think there is a "right or wrong" decision at the end. Personally I chose to spare Shimura and walk away. But I see both sides. For me, it all came down to what they said before the fight. Shimura says "You have no honor" And Jin replies "And you are a slave to it." Samurai honor demands that Jin give Shimura a warrior's death. But Jin no longer follows the Samurai code. He irrevocably made his choice to abandon that life and code at the end of Act 2. So the "correct" choice really comes down to you, the player, and what you believe Jin's new code of honor should be. And for me Jin's code means protecting the ones he loves and those who cannot defend themselves. And to kill with brutal efficiency anyone who threatens them.
