Thanks for popping up a review this quick. I picked up two copies on KS so I could play up to 4 players. Yes, the instructions are lacking so I’ve been looking online for tips, play guides and hopefully a live session. The game has fantastic components (considering the dice are small due to the need to fit in the card box). I love the ideas of sequels like Deck Box Mansion or Deck Box Starship! That would be awesome! Maybe even a Deck Box Jungle or Deck Box Crypt, too. Your video is good and clear with proper closeups of the pieces and cards. Thanks again for the video. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for the video! The instructions were a bit confusing, I received my game Friday. This really cleared things up.

Thanks for the excellent review. It really helped me decide if the game was for me (was not aware of it until 3 years after launch). This game is good on so many levels that I had to tell my game groups about it and a couple went and purchased their own decks already. I am fairly certain that this will be my most used game in my entire inventory much like "Hoplite" has been my most used game app on my smartphone for almost a decade. I am fairly certain I will be playing Deck Box Dungeon (or some homebrewed up version of it when I am old and grey). I like it that much.

I’ve been looking for a playthrough for this one. Hard to find. I backed this one on Kickstarter. Looking forward to trying it out thank you very much for another great video.

Just got mine yesterday. Really looking forward to trying it out. I also love small dungeon crawlers - the time and table space are big selling points. Looks like One Deck Dungeon - another game I love. Graphics look very good and the replayability is impressive for such a small game. Hope they make some expansions. Great review (as always!).

@John McGuinness Could you please introduce me some other small dungeon crawlers? Those are exactly what I'm looking for right now!

great review I now have 2 copies and can play to my hearts content. I made some 3d printed doors to clip the cards together. and use card sleeves for heroes and their weapons and skills so I can slide the counter cards into them so they dont get accidentally moved

Thanks for this good, edged rewiew! Do you know „Bag of dungeon“? I think it would be very interesting to compare it in a video with this game here...

I thought I was the only sucker for dungeon crawlers, especially portable ones :P

@RayLancer So, what are your favourites? Mine are Dungeoneer (all of them), Dungeon of Deadliest Evil, Dungeoning, The Sorcerer's Cave, Citadel of Blood, DeathMaze, 3 Dice Dungeon. And I totally can't wait for Squire's Quest!

ソルグル these are new to me... I got the KS of this game but now I need to research your list. Which do you recommend starting with?
@user-jl4wn9rs1y5 жыл бұрын
@@steelman774 Well, there are many, really! I think my favourite is Dungeoneer. Each set is a standalone games different in theme, still easily combinable. Then there are others like Ravage, RAID, One Deck Dungeon, Mini Rogue, The Mystic Wood, D series, Dice Quest, etc. Some of them are OOP and as such, not so easy to lay hand on. A handful of them has been reviewed by Marco, too! You can find long lists on BGG collecting such titles.

I've been playing with my two copies and noticed if you play the same mission twice, the objective is the same but the map tiles that spawn are random along with each new rooms spawns and special rules! HIGH REPLAYABILITY!

They just finished sending out the copies to Kickstarter backers and people who pre-ordered, but they say they're going to open it up for public sale in about a week.

OK while it looks cute and harmless and interesting, it is quite convoluted in mechanics that are badly explained, compared to other reviews you made. Plus why bother playing this is pointless. You have no growth of characters. which is the essence of dungeon crawling.

Bad rulebook is instant pass. Also too tiny too fiddly too random And a tuck box that won’t last a few sessions. No dice tray. Lazy designer. Total fail.
