Having played ayli as a commander a lot, I disagree with removing utter end and anguished unmaking. True that is redundant, but you can rarely rely on being above 50 life to exile things, or having enough creatures to do that effect repeatedly. So having removal that you can do before 50 life, is very useful.

The fact that Ayli is a Cleric brings Edgewalker screaming to mind (a WB cleric that reduces the casting cost of Clerics by WB). Maybe do some looking into what creatures count as Clerics in the game for filling in Ayli's creature slots.

Things i would definitely add! -Elesh Norn! No mention of the lady in white? Come on! She's great here because she balances ayli's ability to deal with single-target with her mass-creature destruction, elesh kills huge amounts of tokens that ayli can't deal with, while ayli can deal with non-creature threats and huge single-creature threats. -Mikaeus the Unhallowed! He's super good in any recursion deck, and the deck doesn't seem to run a whole lot of humans, are there even any? Plus you're going somewhat wide, and the +1+1 boost is a nice little bonus there. -Black Market! You're killing your own cards left and right withayli, and ayli is definitely mana hungry, so that card has the double threat of both getting huge benefit from ayli, and feeding you lots of mana which you need for ayli, great synergy there i think.

I went back and watched your High Rolla$ episodes and I loved them. but now that i've seen them again, i have an idea you guys may like. How about starting a mini-series called "Low Rida$" where you can cover cheap cards that are good in commander, budget alternatives for otherwise expensive cards, etc. It honestly does sound really close to your Overperformers and Pet cards episodes, but hey, some people need this.

As much as I like 2 CMC commanders, Ayli went into my Doran the Siege Tower deck as a background character. But one I will tutor for. You also get access to green; concordant crossroads, and hecka high-toughness cheapo creatures with mutable downsides that Doran can use to hulk smash with.

I think mindslash is really valuable for stopping other people's plans, or to protect your own. Best way to stop something degenerate is to make sure they never cast it in the first place. People run enough tutors that reveal what they search that you can know when it is worth it to force discard.

How many of those tutors are timed so Mindslash can do something about it though? If I'm going to Eldarami's Call or Worldly Tutor or whatever, I'm going to do it at the end of the last player's turn, then play the thing on my turn. Casting Demonic Tutor and then sitting on the card you tutored is generally a good way to get hated out of the game.

I've been looking at lifegain/lifeloss cards due to my interest in lone rider (could maybe be in the deck) - you mentioned many of my ideas but there's also defiant bloodlord, a creature with the same effect as sanguine bond (I'm new and was going to ask about the interaction between these and exquisite blood (thought I was so smart finding this combo, heh), glad you explained that). If going wide with tokens then campaign of vengeance (when a creature you control attacks you gain one life and defending player loses 1 life) may be worth it. Blood tribute may also be good (opponent loses half their life, if kicked by tapping a vampire you gain that much life). If you want to go in a completely different direction with Ayli and draw LOTS of cards there's the enchantment lich which has you draw cards for each point of life you would gain (among other effects) - that would be a very different deck but potentially quite fun. Great show, loved the concept of "weaponizing" lifegain, etc.

correct, he's sacrificed as part of the cost of the ability and isn't around for the resolution of it, so he isnt around to double your life gain.

I personally will only play test of endurance because it's more likely to get shut down by my opponents beating me up. I also dont do infinite combos cause I like just sitting back and gaining life and not getting targeted lol. however I like sanguine bond as a win condition by itself.

I'm not sure I want to reveal this super secret deck tech I came up with, but Sacred Mesa is a completely overpowered token generator. its 2&w for an enchantment that says you have to sacrifice it on upkeep if you don't have any pegasus tokens, and it has 1&w: make a 1/1 flying pegasus. Now this seems pretty innocuous at first but, you can do the ability at instant speed, which means you can drop the enchantment on turn 3 and make a token in response to the trigger on turn 4, and also make another token. It's an instant speed mana sink so you can dump whatever you want into it before your turn starts and it just keeps pooping so many of the little things out, you wont want to do anything but use this and maybe put down your soul warden or blood artist type creatures which are super cheap. Once you get to turn 8 or so you're making 2/3 tokens every turn, optionally. At instant speed. Like, I said, it sounds innocuous but once you play with it, it just takes over, like a bitterblossom does in modern.

Illusionist's bracers only works for activated abilities, that AREN'T mana abilities so it will not work for Ayli, but there are other creatures mentioned that could benefit from this.

This is incorrect. "Mana abilities" refer to abilities that create mana. For instance, you could not equip the Illusionist's Bracers to a Birds of Paradise and get TWO mana of any color. It does double either of Ayli's abilities however.

As an ayli player, phyrexian processor has won me games, early game, paying 10 life, certain players dont want to punish you because you already lost life. start building a wall of 10/10s until you're in a position to sac them for life with vizkopa guildmage's second ability activated.

why not both components of her? I always do this in with my decks xD is i usually take the second aspect as my back up win con :) so my prossh deck has the ability to just one shot you by hasting out prossh as soon as possible. but also he generates tokens and green is very good for tokens so i use things like over whelming stampede and overrun with token cards as a secondary win con incase my prossh shot fails.

Certainly you can build your decks this way. I've found that focusing in a specific direction tends to yield better results. We did include a few cards with "go wide" versatility so as to have a back-up win con, but only a few.

oh yh defiantly i find this too, generally most of deck are pushed to my main win con. and I don't think you should build commander decks with split game plans. however if they feed into each other like prossh one shot and prossh token strategies as he does both for example again it shouldn't hurt your main game plan to hard to in my case put in a few boosts to his token effect. gives up small amount of efficiency for versatility, which been helpful when my friends auto-kill prossh when I attack with him :')

Need Wall of Reverence and Serra Avatar, then put in Ajani, Caller of the Pride. Double your life every turn, with Sanguine Bond, you just kill someone on your end step. I would put in Lapse of Certainty in this deck, mainly cause it stops a board wipe that would screw you over, and it screws over their draw for the next turn, it's a little better than Rebuff the Wicked.

I tried it when I first built Ayli. I wasn't a fan, and ended up cutting it. It's cute, but it's slow, only affects creature-based strategies, and paints a MASSIVE target on your head for anyone who is basing their deck on creatures. I ended up cutting it for another Vindicate effect (Anguished Unmaking).

JuQmadrid With Thornbite Staff + a death touch creature, you can destroy every creature that are not hexproof/shroud or indestructible for 2 mana. If you got 10 mana, destroying 5 TARGET creatures, in the same turn and every turn, is still OP.

I agree that Gray Merchant of Asphodel (Gary) is quite good, but I'd be very careful with him. I lost a good number of game where I played him with an opponent simply playing a kicked Rite of Replication targeting Gary.
