What a FUN project to do with the kids. Benjamin has most definitely been absorbing the arranging gene! Please don't ever apologize for the 'abundant' way you decorate. We are all in different places in our lives and have different styles, tastes etc and although I could never afford to buy that many pumpkins and gourds where I live (they are super expensive) I do truly LOVE to see it done on someones step. So stunning and it makes me smile 🎃

I whole heartily agree about Thanksgiving. It's always been my favorite Fall/Winter holiday. No pressure, just family and friends getting together having an unstressed simple time to enjoy each other. It is too bad that Christmas is so commercial and so horribly expensive now, sometimes it just isn't fun. The walkways looks fabulous what a beautiful color.

@@vickieyoung7122 I took advice from my mother and cook almost the entire meal weeks in advance and freeze it in freezer bags to just put in slow boiling water to heat (turkey already sliced, stuffing and gravy) on Thanksgiving Day. Tastes wonderful! I even freeze my pie dough and homemade filling separately to bake the day before. I make coleslaw night before and that just leaves the mashed potatoes to make on the holiday. The turkey always looks pretty on a Thanksgiving table so I take a photo 😜. No one in my family misses it. They just want to eat it.😂. I have no stress that day! Thanks mom!

Not too much - absolutely perfect!! The lanterns in the beds instead of on the stones is just right, giving a glow to the plants. The walkway looks great and more symmetrical. Seeing Samantha's smile as she mulched Russell was the frosting on the cake in this video. I can't begin to imagine if I had all of this activity planned for one day and videotaping as it happened. What’s not to like among all of those? You made such beautiful borders with the various plants! As a child, I spent my best days with my kitty and we lived on our family farm. I had no siblings, but fortunately, my hubby and I had two adorable children. I was a teacher and loved the things my students said. My understanding of polymeric sand is that it if too much is allowed to cure on the surface of the brick, it will adhere to the top of the brick & create a haze. The brick pathway is beautiful though, and hopefully there’s a solution for cleaning them. The walkway and plant display is stunning!

That's my understanding as well. I hope it turns out the way she is wanting. We have used some on large projects and the brand we used directed to make sure any excess was gone before the watering to set it because it would just set on top of the stone.

Vinegar water will get all that residue off, spray on and rinse off. You might brush it with a broom or plastic brush, no scrubbing involved.

Oh. My. Goodness!! I am literally writing down the names of all of those plants, because the combo is SO SPECTACULAR! I love the pumpkins on the wall, I love the lanterns, I love all of the plants ~ its just such eye candy. I am not usually a fan of grasses, but I really love those and how they interplay with both the queen of hearts brunnera and the white pansies in particular. Wow. Just WOW! Thank you so much for this - and your children are absolutely charming :)
