What a nice problem to have driving around trying to figure out where to pop a plant in. I don't have an inch of space in my garden yet I stroll around garden centres weekly to see what deals they got and what other plants I can squeeze in to my little garden. Anyone else? 😂

YES! i am landlocked in my little socal garden/yard, but after our heat wave i've pulled some really tired looking plants and can't wait to pop in some fresh stuff... can you imagine driving around putting plants wherever you desire? i'm living vicariously through Laura! 🥰

🙃 It's nice to see the problems like the patchy grass with the weeds, a plant that didn't do well, and the drill coming lose & falling off. It makes it more real life & relatable. Otherwise, when I am gardening, I think, "Why am I having problems, when everything she does seems to work perfectly?" I like to see the ins & outs of what you deal with, and problem solving. So thank you for that! 🙂

That has to be one of your all time best videos ever! I loved getting to see all the changes, and getting to be in your garden. Can you believe how far you've come in the South Garden? It was a flat, dusty, pancake of nothing-ness. Now it's the most beautiful, gorgeous garden. The trees really are the icing on the cake, and maples are the tree to choose. I love the Boom Choco-lata Geranium. I only know about it because of your plant behind the chicken coop, it was so purple during the summer. I love that color! This morning's video was such an escape, I really don't want to come back to earth and do what I need to do. The green lawn with the maple trees is such a knockout. And peaches are my favorite fruit, a good peach is so hard to find, you are so lucky! Peach ice cream & cookies in the Hartley, what a life!

WHY would you do that!!??? Make such a wonderful dessert knowing we would want some and most of us do not have home grown delicious peaches with no pesticide on them & then make homemade ginger snap cookies to boot.. and eat that in front of us!!?? Do you know what lick marks on the TV does to my screen??!? 🤣 Well now I want ice cream & ginger snap cookies Laura!! Love those trees, and the broken water line made a cross in the grass.. so now you know that can’t be all that bad! ❤

This is my favorite kind of video you put out! (they are all great) but a little bit of everything is the best! We have planting, harvest and desserts; the best of all the world's!

Love seeing your creativity extend to dessert! My mom used to make peach ice cream like that and it was our favorite. Really enjoyed this episode today.

Such an inspiring video! Curious about the skullcap…it’s gorgeous. Do you know the type/variety you planted? Is it deer resistant? Hope you answer…I have a perfect spot for it!

Love your show Laura. After hearing how you lost blooms on the fruit tree when it warms up and then it has a cold snap. If you paint the bottom of the trunk like about 2 feet with white paint, your fruit tree won’t be trick by the weather to blooming too early.

Can you explain how this works. I am curious as we have this problem in North Georgia almost every year.

@@kristinastoltzfus6032 It reduces the warming of the trunk of the fruit tree, and white paint is not harmful to the tree.

From what I understand, the white helps to reflect the sun, keeping the trunk from getting too warm and initiating blooms. They also use it for other reasons too, like preventing disease and fungus, etc.

This explains everything to me now👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I remember growing up in Ohio on Lake Erie in a small truck farming community/resort town. The farmers would paint their fruit trees white about 4 from the ground up. My mom always said it kept the ants off the trees and prevent sun scald.

You need one of those little fridges out there under the counter to put your ice cream in. That looked so good! Love the new plants and the trees will be gorgeous out there.

Hi Laura! Some of use earbuds to watch your videos or we SUFFER from Misophonia. Can you please take out, put or move whatever is in your right pocket to another one? You slap your leg ALOT and the sharp sound, from whatever you hit is VERY annoying for us and makes it VERY difficult for us to watch or even be able to finish the video. There might be 1 video a week where it isn't that bad, but some days it is unbearable. I really hope you can fix this so we can continue to watch your videos.

How do you keep your hands from drying and cracking? I see that you don’t use gloves right often, which I do not either, but my hands get so beat up. Also, I hope you see this and will google “is dirt the new Prozac”. There is tons of research and scientific studies about dirt getting into our skin and the microbes in there doing the same thing to our brain that antidepressants do!!! I find this so fascinating and love to share with everyone I can!!! Especially gardeners!! Again, thank you so so much for all your share. You really are bringing joy. ❤️❤️

I can’t help but think a tackle box with drip supplies stored in the flower shed would be a great idea. That way you have drip supplies in the south garden and also the garage.
