@@duncanmusic5559 Yeah, Pearl Jam had more of a blues/Hendrix influence. Nirvana had a punk influence. Alice in Chains had a hair metal influence. It's wild that the bands can still be in a genre because of the scene and be beloved by fans of the genre, but in reality the roots of each bands' sounds vary so much.

They are quite unique. Can pretty much identify a PJ song in about 5 seconds most of the time. The 90’s produced some incredible bands, pearl jam sit at the main table with the best of them.

-I was never a real big Pearl Jam fan, back in the 90's - I was more into Stone Temple Pilots, & Alice in Chains - but over the years, Eddie Vedder's vocals have grown on me, and yeah, I've really grown to appreciate Eddie Vedder a lot more, as the truly, powerful Singer/Songwriter he is. Respect - to Eddie Vedder, a real artist.

@@storysellers2189 yeah, that chorus riff is the essence of the song. The way it cuts through the mix on the record is a big part of that. In a live situation, it's even more important to cut the mix. Oh well, he's entitled to use whatever guitar he wants.

One of the finest drummers of our time. This opinion was released the first time I heard Jesus Christ Pose, wherein the entire song is basically a fill. Cameron to me is the modern day Stewart Copeland. Soundgarden and PJ worlds apart drumming wise. There is nothing the man cannot play on drums.

@@Lulustucru2393 On the contrary, while Dave is a far better drummer than Matt, he didn't fit with the band. He clashed constantly with the direction the band was going. Matt is a far better fit.
