Imo he's right. On the ball Rice is average. He works hard. He runs around a lot and he positions himself well to protect the back four, in terms of blocking a direct route into the front man for the opposition. He's poor at receiving the ball in tight spaces and turning out of trouble, his passing is average. He's a good player but he does not suit free flowing football. 116.6m for a guy that only really exceptional, when it comes to running around a lot, is madness imo. For the 190m we paid for Havertz, we could have signed Alvarez 33m, Kudus 37m, Maddison 40m, Ward Prowse 30m and had 50m to put towards a striker. Timber is a decent player but 40m, when we could have just kept Tierney who was one of the top two left backs in the country until Arteta changed direction. Add that 40 to the 50 we saved buying the 4 players above instead of the two we bought and we have 90 for a striker as well as Maddion, Kudus, Alvarez and Ward Prowse. The 11 is not as good as it should be and the bench is very poor because we have overspent on players that are not that good imo. Viera was a sub at Porto. We paid 30m. Benjamin White 50m? Whites alright but 50m. Money on 75 goalkeepers when we had a gk that was way better and Arteta got rid. For 700m, is it ok to be the way we are? I say no. Just my opinion.

I don’t understand why people don’t see that Partey is better than him. The injury to Partey is the reason Arsenal has a poor run this season. Partey has the ability to release the ball quicker and that is what our front 4 strives on. Is it a surprise that all of them struggle when he isn’t in the pitch or he is out of form.
