It’s a job that never ends, at least for me it doesn’t! 🙃 I know my voice sounds a little rough in the video! I’ve been battling quite a cough! Thanks for being with me through the ups and downs! ☺️

I hope you are feeling better! Light decluttering makes so much sense. That way things don't get too out of hand. Even though your life is very different than mine (I'm single, gay, no children, live in a small apartment, I don't have any family stuff to speak of as it was all sold / given away and I had no option to keep anything), you continue to show me new and different ways to look at my home space and my life. I truly appreciate all that you do and all that you share. Be blessed.

Oh my goodness, Matt, yours is the second comment that has brought me to tears. I have always known that we are different, yet I feel we are so similar in so many ways and our thinking. I absolutely felt you with the dishes....I held on to an old set for soooooooooo long. It was tough to donate, but it was a greater feeling knowing they'd be better used somewhere else. You did a great job per usual! Off to the next video ❤❤❤

I understand exactly how you feel about your mom's dishes. Just this year, I donated an entire china set to our local second hand store. The set was a gift from my grandmother. It was rarely used and sat in the china cabinet for 42 years. Once I had finally made the decision to donate them, I felt better. I hope they went to a home where they were used to make great memories around the table.

Hello Nancy! I’m sure you do understand! I always have trouble parting with those sentimental keepsakes. I must say, I have never regretted anything I have let go of…yet. 😊 the thing is I just try to remember, just because they’re not in my home any longer, doesn’t mean they aren’t making memories for someone else.. thanks so much for watching

I had bought soft pet carriers in hopes of replacing the hard plastic ones I had been using. Took the cats to the vet yesterday and the soft ones worked out great. Went to declutter the hard ones and saw a scarf that I never wear so that was added to the carriers. While in the same storage closet, I also found a bowling pin that my oldest got from a birthday party probably 15 years ago. It had been in the closet since and I'm sure he doesn't even remember having it. That went too. Thought I was done and remembered an elderly lady from church brought over a 48" fiber optic Christmas tree a few months back that she swore one of my sons wanted years back if she ever wanted to get rid of it. Son wasn't home to ask so I took it. Found out that my son never wanted the tree and I certainly didn't so that got added to the small pile I had going. I love it when one decluttered item suddenly turns into four (technically five because it was two pet carriers)!!

Who would’ve thought getting rid of the pet carriers would lead to a great declutter!! Hi Dee Dee! About those dishes that were your Mom's....my Mom also had that set. I am 99% sure they were sold as a promotion at grocery stores back in the day. Each week another piece of the collection was featured for shoppers to buy. I don't really think grocery stores do that any more....at least not in my town. OK where'd you wind up putting the fly swatter😂! We have one hanging on the back door😂. Yes it's gross there too but you have to put them somewhere handy!❤

Good morning Jean! Thank you so much for sharing! That does sound familiar, you might be right maybe that’s where those dishes came from. I am not sure, but that sounded so familiar and rang a bell with me when you mentioned it. You were right about the flyswatter they are nasty, but they need to be convenient! My husband has one in the garage and I hung the one that was in the drawer right by the laundry room sink, but I like your idea of hanging by the back door! Thanks so much for watching and sharing!

Good morning! Great job as usual. It must feel good. I recently got rid of all my “fancy” plates. Stuff handed down and stuff I got from my bridal shower 28 years ago. We don’t use them. Holidays we use throw away. We’re too many people to wash all that. Same with glass. I kept a few. We use plastic for that also. I bought 8 everyday plates at Aldi and that’s we use everyday for just us. I’m over the multiple sets of dinnerware. Thank you for sharing your day with us. Have a great weekend. See you next week!😘

Good morning my friend !!! OMGOSH!!! Someone snuck pillows into your declutter pile 😬🤪 This was a fabulous share . Inspired ✅& motivated✅ I put those scent beads ( like in the vacuum )in the bottom of my kitchen trash can 🤯WOW it smells nice every time I remove the trash bag & when I walk bye. I clean it & spray it but I still always smell something , the beads worked ! Also put an open little cup of them in the linen closet . I may be addicted to them now . I love enablers ( YOU) 😊 I hope your feeling better , you sounded a little raspy , maybe my speakers or imagination . Unfortunately someone tripped on a fan cord yesterday & ruined their back . I wont be doing anything today . And yes, I am the one who put the cord there, avoided it for years until yesterday LOL Watch most of this last night, then I conked out 😴 Have a wonderful weekend , sending healing prayers your way & HUGS! 🥰🥰

Will update per usual ! 🙂😊 UPDATE TIME 🙂😉..... ....Inspiration and Motivation, indeed ! 77 ..?!! 77 Items ...wow! I say that's not just " a light De- clutter ", lol....if I do a ' light De- clutter ..' ..I might get 30 Items , lol ! The Dishes that belonged to your Mother are pretty , but if you didn't actually use them...you might take a photo ofvthem, just as a Rememberance, and you could add it to a Photo Book with photos of her... just a thought. I adore Vintage Dishes ...( duhhh.lol ! ) of all kinds, so I do have one set ,but it actually gets used . ( Nipon China ,with gokd trim ) .There are quite a number of Salad plates, so two went to Baby ( the Kitty) for to dine on, lol. Which ,those are always washed seperate ,never go in the Cabinet with the other ones.lol. I have a liking for the Placemats, as well.. and Tablecloths. ... But I am now sort of picky ,lol, with what qualifies as a purchase . I have To say that I was glad that the one Placemats made the cut, because those are really nice..! Thry look great. 👌🏻 I'm sure you feel that you got quite a bit accomplished and you certainly did ... you always provide a way to Inspire us to start working on things that need doing... ! Your efforts are so appreciated, and the other thing is that you have such a good Variety of Videos ... its why I often re- watch them ! 😊 Thank you ,Dede, for taking the Time ,Effort and Energy to do a Friday Video , I commend you ...I can only tell a little residual of " being under the Weather " ... and that you'll take it easy this Weekend if possible, my friend. ..Take care of you ,and Mr. Husband, so that youre back to 100 percent. 🙂😊🙏🏻🤗🤍

Yay, my friend is here with her update!! it is funny, but as I was decluttering the dishes, I actually thought of you. I knew you would appreciate them, and I knew they would be a hard thing for you to let go of as well. I also know, without you telling me, that you do appreciate placemats and tablecloths! I don’t know that anyone can do lace, linen, and vintage better than you! When I see vintage items, I always think, would this be something she would like? If it is timeless and elegant, the answer is usually yes! Thank you for your concerns about myself and Mr. tidy ups well-being. It seems like we take one step forward and then one step back.. I am hoping we are on the upswing. I knew my voice was a bit gravelly as I did my voice overs, but I knew if I waited until I had my voice completely back to normal, I would never get the video done. I sure do appreciate you watching and I appreciate you taking the time to always let me know what you think!
