Carys, this inspired me so much to do the same when I go back to LA! I LOVE cleaning out my closet but have been struggling the past 2 months to do another cleanup because I just lovee clothes and love the items I own and keep giving myself excuses to keep things I really should get rid of! I totally relate to having more clothes than most people because of do some fashion social media content. I always feel the need to pick up more bits and bobs when I see them to get more Insta looks or outfits for events, etc.

One tip I would give to check if you're wearing items is to turn the clothes hanger around on the rail once you've worn it. Then when you go through any hangers you haven't turned around have clothing items that you haven't worn, so you don't need to keep them! But I think you did a great job!

I just did this myself! With not nearly as many or as nice things, but still, letting go of clothes is a tough thing. After a while they hold sentimental value in our hearts. I have a habit of collecting clothes that I’ll never get around to wearing. One of my favorite ways to make a decision on what to keep is to put all my hangers backward. Then when I wear something, I put it back with the hanger normally. At the end of the month I can see based on the hangers what I’ve actually worn and what I can live without! Loved this video-very relatable!

I did this 2 weeks ago and got rid of 10 pairs of boots that I've maybe worn once or not at all and so expensive I won't even say how much money's worth was there but I used to have issues about buying boots (I still have) but I did it and felt good (sort of😭) coats too but I still have about 12 coats/ jackets I can't part with yet because I will wear them according to weather or if going out coz some are going outy types you get what I mean but the money I've wasted could have had a holiday in Hawaii with the amount of money in boots and clothes I got rid of 🙄so now I've learned a lesson and thought of a good idea that if I wanna buy something I don't really need but I would normally usually buy it anyway...so I'm gonna try put that money aside and have a holiday with the money instead of having clothes n boots n coats sitting there that nobody ever sees!😊

Carys!! First of all I have to say I LOVE your videos. You're beautiful inside and out and a ray of sunshine!! I also admittedly love your hauls, and LOVE your style, it's so similar to mine! No judgment here, but I will say that you should definitely do more research on fast fashion. The sad thing about it is even things that are returned are typically thrown out by the factory. Not resold, not donated, not kept-- thrown out. It's super sad and wasteful and unfortunately we're all culprits of this because these websites are so cheap and easy, and I know that your career is kind of built off of this, but minimizing the purchases a lot and frequency of them (even though you return, because of what is mentioned above--look it up) is something to keep in mind. I just want to say that I think you’re amazing and I really enjoyed this video however I do have a couple of tips on being more sustainable 🙃 So you don’t necessarily have to throw things out just because they’re not in season anymore cause then you might just end up buying another similar thing next summer! I put all my summer stuff in a suitcase up the loft and still love it all when I crack it out again the next summer 🙂 And if something is torn or bobbly you can always try to fix it (especially knitwear is easy to fix a hole or rip!) I’m not having a go at all, like I said I think you’re great and love your videos but you seem like you wanna learn more about this kinda stuff so just thought I’d let ya know 💕💕

I don’t mean this to be a hateful comment at all so please don’t take it the wrong way but have you considered trying to be more sustainable with your fashion? Like buying from ethical/sustainable brands, the app ‘good on you’ let’s you search brands and gives them a rating before you decide to buy from them. Instead of hauls you could do recreating outfits from clothes you already own, styling one item 5 ways etc so you’re not constantly buying and wasting them. I understand it’s your job but it does have an impact on the environment as well as the influence over other people and with your following you could make some good change x

I have nothing against you as a person but I don't know if you are aware how bad it is for the environment to constantly buy new clothes especially from sites like Wish... I understand that your social media career revolves around reviewing websites and such but you're also encouraging your viewers to consume the same way you're consuming which is a major issue tbh

Papaijasd Carys is such a good person, and definitely does not encourage harming the environment. She does large hauls, and reviews, so her viewers can get a good viewing and rate of items, so they don’t need to purchase or can purchase an item, aware of the quality and such. I watch a majority of her videos, and only order like 1-2 things that she suggests like every 3 months, because she gives an honest review about items and I see that many aren’t worth the money. She focuses a lot on giving to others and charities. She is a single KZbinr, think of the other 1,000 youtubers that do this same thing as her, but don’t give to other or charities. So many people order constantly, don’t recycle, and so many other things that harm the environment daily. Give her a break.
