I've used jeans legs to make potholders/trivets. Or I keep the fabric for patching things later.

I repurposed two sleeves with two 1'5/2 litres bottles to make inserts for boots and keep them up straight. I suppose you could do the same with trousers legs. Get the empty plastic bottles put each one into each of the legs tie or sew the top and the bottom as if they were sweets and cut or tuck in the material that sticks out for it not to be bulky. Then you stick each one (with the slimmest part downwards) into each high boot and that way they stay straight 😅😂. Or you could fill them with old socks, fabric or any other filling and put them on front of the bottoms of the doors to prevent draughts and cold coming in. Hope it helps xxx
