i know you have a million people in the comments telling you to be careful about the books in the windowsill bc of the sun fade, but the real tragedy is from the condensation you mentioned!! i left a book on my windowsill overnight in the winter once and when i woke up the book was completely soaked through and STUCK to the window lolol. be careful when the weather gets colder

You could thrift picture frames and use their class to put them under the plant pots which are standing on your book piles, as some extra water-spilling protection.

17:11 Omg you're so sweet for that, I thrift books and I can find some good stuff but thats rare. Its mainly cheap paperbacks with bent covers, could be the best book ever but its just horrible that resellers will take all the good books for people who will actually want to read it. Like I respect the hussle for making a quick buck. But we have to remember thrift stores are stores for mainly people in need and when you resell stuff you're taking from people in need

I completely agree that not every book has to go on a shelf! Every flat surface in my room has books on, and if it doesn't the potential is there lol I also has so much random stuff on my shelves. There is a terracotta pot, which is normal, but you open it and inside is a lump of concrete

All For The Game series by Nora Sakavic!! I cant explain how much I adore that series and it makes me sooooo happy to see it up there. It is actually criminal that its often classified as a sports romance becauze its 100% not. Despite its numerous numerous flagrant errors and deeply problematic and graphic everything, it has a chokehold on me and I'm never going to get over it. Serious trigger warnings but dear god is it my favorite universe ever.

You truly cannot get over it. How does one get over the concept of Andrew Minyard???
@chelsey8737
@chelsey8737 Жыл бұрын
@@justjaq2319 The more you read or listen to the books the more you realize that Andrew's just a brat 😂 He's so freaking funny and dramatic but the series is so serious that you have to get over the initial shock of the plot line before you can just laugh at Andrew all the time. And I've never enjoyed fanfic from a series more. This fandom writes Andrew and Neil so compellingly and creates such interesting situations and fascinating dynamics between them and between all of the foxes in general.

The stacks of books on the mantlepiece with plants on them are SO COOL 🤩 but I know I won't ever do that because I would be afraid of watering the books while watering the plants 😅 I think the main problem with the windowsill is not that the pages will turn yellow, but it's that the covers will turn pale. Like a sun-tan, but reversed 😂 but if you don't care, that's fine ^^ they are very viby too !

Having a small 1bedroom apartment, my bedroom is my main bookshelf as well! Gotta love it, I sleep on tatamis/futon on the floor and I am surrounded by books all around! My favorite feature I have is I put a plank between two shelves and I have a book bridge as my bed head, also lots of books on the floor and because small space, I actually got 2 dvd/cd/manga shelves that fits only one row of books, it’s skinny, holds a lot of books but looks so neat (it’s my main wall of books) Sure I also have some books in my cupboard and a couple of bookshelves in my living room but I love my main library/bedroom! I did have to unhaul a lot of books in the process but really pleased with the result. Anyway, love your videos!

I just today finished All for the Game series and i really hoped you would make a video about it and now- It brings me sooo much joy to see it here. I liked the books sooo much. I do hate that it is often classified as a sports romance, the romance is a part of it but the books are soo much more, i think the most accurate description would be a found family trope. So glad you are making a video about it. Btw, your room's aesthetic is so pretty akshskfjk. Love you
@chelsey8737
@chelsey8737 Жыл бұрын
SAME ITS A CRIME that its classified as a sports romance. It was classified as a sports romance and Libby when I was searching for sports romances and thats the only reason I started it. Once I finished the series I realized that it's such a misclassification that it's actually criminal. And I see people continuously recommending it as if it's a sports romance or even as if it's a romance at all when if you read the books you know that it is not romantic in the slightest, there is no romance or whatsoever. It's so frustrating because it's incredibly misleading. I was lied to and thought I was getting one thing and then was jared to the point of almost quitting the first book multiple times because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I absolutely love the series but that is such a misclassification of genre that it makes me angry and I think it's part of why a lot of people don't enjoy the series. If you know what you're getting yourself into you don't have expectations that misalign with what you actually given.
@del_1523
@del_1523 Жыл бұрын
@@chelsey8737 I completely agree!!! While I love Andrew and Neil together so so so much, originally since the first book, it was never about them getting together, it was always about Neil and his character interactions with the team and coach. It is a found family book through and through. And the romantic implications aren't even there until the end of the second book and they get clear at the start of the third book. I am so lucky, I didn't read it as a sports romance, I just picked it up and wanted to give it a try and it was honestly a very good decision.

There's never enough space. I had floor to ceiling bookshelves custom built into my new home office on 3 of the walls (one of which has a large window taking up most of it so I build in a window seat as a reading nook). It's enough room for about 1450-1500 books and it will be full in the next 6 or so months. My wife and I have 3 more bookshelves being installed in our living room this November to handle the overflow.

My previous flat had windowsills that extended into the corners beyond the actual windows, so that was the perfect spot for a tbr pile by my sofa. Now I'm kinda struggling what to do with my books/bookshelves, having just moved. This flat is just slightly bigger, but very different, and the big cabinet I used for extra book space is now craft supply space. I did get an extra bookshelf, so I technically have plenty of space for them, it just needs some rethinking, specially the knackage.
