Might be a silly Q, but Isn't 6 months too long to change the constituents of the fund if you are going after momentum?

Far from silly, a very relevant question. A monthly rebalancing for momentum strategy would work better.

The issue would be that it would increase the expense ratio and that would in turn affect the returns. The balance between the high churn vs holding for enough time is difficult

​@@amitabhbanerji7256 then they will call it actively managed fund, if they do monthly rebalancing..😂😂 It's passively managed fund that's why rebalancing on every 6 months.

Can we have the comparison against Nifty 200 momentum 30 ? If one is already invested in Nifty 200 momentum 30 should they add this fund as well ?

Only the top 100 midcap and no small cap are included in Nifty 200 Momentum 30. However, in the Nifty 500 Momentum 50, all categories are included. There will be an overlap of stocks between the 2 funds and this overlap will increase if the market is trending towards the large and midcap space which currently is the case.

Alpha 50 index has a pattern of underpermance every alternate year. Also know it is rebalanced every 3m not 6m
