I like this video style! Nice work! As for TAG watches, I can understand some of the points why some enthusiasts hate on them but I personally like the looks of some of their models like the Aquaracer.

Thanks. This is one of many in my “No Love” series. I like a few of their automatic models. The lack of automatic movements and the plethora of quartz movements at the high price tag has deterred me.

27 years ago I bought my first Tag. I have bought several other brands through the years. Including 2 Rolex’s and omega. Wanted another Chronograph and the GlassBox came out at the right time. Always had a special place for Tag Heuer. Love my new piece.

Interesting commentary Joe. I can tell you that I've never really looked too closely and or had any interest in Tag Heuer watches. I think in the back of my mind I have, and maybe I'm being ignorant, associated TH with overpriced fashion watches.... Your video has sparked the curiosity in me to take a deeper look if nothing else to be more accurately aware of what this brand offers. Funny, over the weekend I saw a KZbin video of a watch enthusiast unboxing a Tag Heuer and he was so pumped. But you are right, such videos are few and far between it seems. Personally, the only model that interests me at all is one of their old designs.

Great video Joe! Tag Heuer inspires great conversation. I think the new leadership has fragmented Tag Heuer's identity. Part of me says they are moving the way of Movado with the cheap quartz watches and some of these Aquaracers. A lot of people took exception when the CEO dismissed the old school enthusiasts and the Steve McQueen affiliation as outdated as they moved forward with Super Mario. This is definitely not Biver's Tag Heuer. When they took a field watch and slapped the Autavia name on it when it had nothing to do with Auto or aviation, that's where I realized they lost something to their identity. The Link watches from years ago had incredibly aggressive sportier designs and have now moved to the campy dress watches. I always appreciate when they go back to their Heritage watches even using the Heuer logo, but these watches are not the same as the innovative company they once were. It's so fixable.

I would very much consider myself an enthusiast… As my collection floats somewhere between 60 and 80… Only a few of them would be considered luxury… most are in the ‘under a thousand’ range… I only spend a lot of money 5k plus every couple of years… and I’m on the side of the fence that considers tag Heuer, a outmatched by its competitors in their price category. With any only enthusiast community, there is a tendency to dogpile on a brand, model, or person. While I think the criticism of TAG Heuer might be valid, the dogmatic hate of the brand might not.

Minus the 2010 sketchy Seiko movement conspiracy and the overuse of quartz, I tend to agree that the brand gets a bad rap.

Excellent video. Another issue that caused problems for Tag Heuer is that a number of years ago they introduced a new movement as in-house, a Chronograph movement if I remember correctly.....except it wasn't in-house at all. It was in fact a Seiko movement that they purchased and decorated it to look different. This was a huge issue which cost them a lot of business and hurt their reputation. Unfortunately watch enthusiasts have long memories!

I don't really love Tag Heuer few years back because of the history scandal they get themselves into... (using miyota movt and stamped tag heuer rotor, declarjng to use japan movt as alternative to the declining swiss made watches interest/to cut costs) but when my wife gave me a Formula 1 Quartz... I realized they have been try really hard to built a good watch.. I guess they deserve a 2nd chance. They doing come back and work really hard to do better nowadays.. ejalbaba_horologymaniac
