It's framed on a common inner core teaching style from antiquity and was written in more recent times despite claims. Watch this, 1. Principle 1. The Principle of Mentalism. Three Initiates, The Kybalion. 2. All that we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thoughts, it is based in our thoughts. The Buddha, The Dhammapada. Cause and Effect = Karma = The judgement you mete to others is coming back at you, Jesus. Just tweak the nouns and verbs. They are analogous and encoded but the Kybalion is easier to understand without as much deep thinking required. Like other myth and religions, it's just wrapped in its own verbal packaging.
