deColourant: a non-bleach color remover, thickened for printing, painting, stamping and drawing.
deColourant is a ready-to-use paste for removing areas of color from dyed natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk and wool. Unlike bleach, deColourant removes color without jeopardizing the integrity of the fiber. Iron the design and watch the color vanish-deColourant is activated by heat. If you don’t like what you’ve done, just wash it out. Nothing happens until you heat the deColourant print.

Bleach is very aggressive and weakens the fiber badly, eventually causing holes after washing, especially on delicate fabrics. deColourant does not jeopardize the fiber whatsoever. Bleach is also toxic and somewhat dangerous to work with, whereas deColourant is not nearly as hazardous.

Yeah.....bleach destroys organic molecules.....otherwise known as cotton. Definetly don't use that on denim.
