I thought George had sold or gifted his J-200 to Bob Dylan around 1969, or so I'd heard from another source.

No, George held onto it. I think Bob just had one that looked similar to his. There's a photo of George's J-200 hanging in Friar Park's guitar room somewhere online

For a while I thought so but after going through Mal Evan’s notes from the session in Kenneth Womack’s ATMP book, apparently George and Klaus added the acoustics to the song
