as a goth girl who's also super into kawaii fashion!! how about just putting together one or two decora kei outfits to wear sometimes? i dress goth usually but during summer break for a few weeks i would just dress goth one day and then wear kawaii fashion the other and then go on like that!! personally i got a few cute shirts and then sewed myself a pastel pink skirt with a hello kitty patch at the bottom that i can wear w the shirts! and accessories i also made myself but like she said in the video u could also just get them at the dollar store!!

I've combined the two before. Gothic outfit, zillion and one accessories. Limit the color pallet of the pins and then learn you don't own many black clips cuz you have dark hair and they never stand out against it so you mostly just use purple or hot pink as an accent color. Also draw cool designs under your eyes with eyeliner

Punk started all the way back in the 70s, which eventually led to the goth music scene in the 80s and then scene and emo in the 90s(? iirc) , and I'm sure even before that there were subcultures we just don't know about. The real issue here is that way too many people are being underpaid for their work which leads to a toxic cycle where they then have to rely on cheaper goods created by more underpaid labor... It's really sad and a bigger issue than most people realize :< It's not the fault of expensive-but-ethical brands charging reasonable prices for the months and months of work that go into creating their products, but rather the system that prevents people from being able to afford those products. People who outright shame others for not being able to afford certain brands aren't a good look though.

thank you for your kind words!! i do live in america and yes we do have a decora community here in america though not as many people as the lolita community but that's why i make these videos to encourage others to give decora a try! you should definitely check out the "fairy kei and decora international community" on facebook to meet other decora lovers as well as find out if there's a j-fashion community in your area! there's usually at least one per city otherwise there's no harm in starting one :))) i've gotten 99% positive responses from people on the street and if anyone is being mean i pretty much just ignore them but i really hope you do give decora a try! it's a lot of fun :)

What Id really recommend is buying those children jewelry making kits. They have all sorts of colorful beads and you can make plenty of necklaces and bracelets and even earrings. It doesn’t only apply to decora, you can use it for any style. I’m pastel goth so I like using the cute pastels. Also if it doesn’t have the colors you want, paint them! I painted some beads to make pride safety pin earrings and it worked out super well

ik im soooo late to this but you can use the skirt you bought as a skirt look, you can put a different skirt underneath for example,a plain purple one and you put the rainbow one on top of it. It will look so cool.

I managed to make a really good decora themed shelf JUST with random gadgets I had from when I was younger! I had lots of glittery neon things and Kandi and hello kitty etc and it looks incredible I’m so happy with it!
