Did you just put regular grass in a fish tank ? Edited | Also , I live in Malaysia too, and it's not that cool. It's 26 -32 degrees Centigrade here. So for those who commented he needs a heater, you are trying to stew the fish alive .

Quick tip: bettas usually like calmer water so after setting up my tank and seeing my filter was making the water very well not still I went and got a adjustable filter after I put it to pretty low my betta started to not do so well and needed more water movement lesson to be learned is to slowly adjust wake so your fish can get used to it

Although I may create a Fairy House out of one stone and cover its roof with grass like the real Fairy House (look up Sedini, Sardinia, Italy, the famous Fairy House of the village) and then find myself a beautiful most colourful half-moon Betta for it

@Shadows Hyper oh really well.... I bought a beautiful Betta from Switzerland and he loves his tank, with a heater of course set on 26,5°C and he eats well, like 10 blue dream shrimps in a few days and Dr Bassleer granula's and recognises me too... He does well, tank also pretty..

Hii, hope you are doing well? I am making a 70 gal tank (3’W x 2’ H x 20 inch D)... I polished all my 12mm glass edges to a smooth finish...However my tank guy said the silicone wont hold on smooth edges, it has to be rough...once the tank is made, then the egdes can be polished for a smooth professional finish... I would appreciate if you can help me as to whether glass should be polished or not for silicone to hold properly..

I live in KL, no need heater unless u put your tank at air-cond room. Tank temperature should never drop below 23°C and ideally should remain between 25°C-27°C. U can also switch on your aquarium light to increase the water temperature.

The Collector i’m pretty sure they did. all fish need dechlorinated water to survive and thrive in their environment. tap water on its own has things in it that can harm your fish.

Doncy Peter as sand is cheap, i’d advice you to only use store bought sand. and make sure to wash it well with water before putting it in your tank.

Doncy Peter i would advise against it generally. you would have to rinse out the sand VERY thoroughly and make sure there’s nothing living inside it that can harm your fish. i just think it’s easier to buy store bought sand tho
