aerial roots are developed by all monsteras, and in nature you'll find them sprawling across the land and putting themselves into a stream or river nearby. you can either put the aerial roots into a glass of water or tuck it back into the soil. the aerial root placement indicates the "back" of the plant so if you want your leaves to all face the same way, putting the aerial root back into the soil can act as a stabilizer!

About the Monstera: they just make aerial roots no matter what (as it's originally a climbing jungle plant), it's perfectly happy! Just let the roots hang, or you can carefully fold them into the pot, just make sure you don't break them.

Monsteras are pretty easy to handle. If you place it in a more sunny spot, it gets used to it and the leafs become kinda leathery. In a spot with less sun, it gets used to that, too. The air root is very important for the plant. If it's getting too long, you can just put the end of the root back into the pot, but don't cut it pls! But yours looks really healthy :) Love your videos! ❤

You can place the aerial root from the monstera into a cup of water! It can absorb as much water as it needs and it will grow new leaves

Or you can stick it directly into the pot/soil. It will grow into a normal root and can take up water and nutrients, while also providing stability to the plant. Plus you don't have to put an extra glas of water next to it 😉.

Hi Sissel ! I love this video it makes me want to do the same thing. Also if I can share with you a little something, do you know about feng shui ? It’s a Chinese way to harmonised energy in spaces. It has some rules to respect if you want to keep a good balanced energy in a room. For exemple it says that plants should not be in the bedroom because it’s the place where you sleep at night and plants reject CO2 at night ! So not good for your breathing and the calming energy of the space. But please take it as you want to, I still have plants in my bedroom 💛🌿

Hmm for more warmth in the bedroom you always swap some of the all-white look for good old wood! You prob don’t want to change the whole bed frame but more natural materials via photo frames, earthy coloured throw blankets, or pillows on the bed?
