For me I've never struggled making friends. But I made some wrong choices in choosing friends back while in school, which was actually an experience. Right now knowing to keep small circle for myself is the best thing I've done. I love my small circle and also I miss them since we aren't always together now. Thank you Sissel for organizing this picnic, I met so many kind and like minded people that I can't wait to meet up with again. Honestly the longer I stay in korea I find I have fewer friends. I am all for new people and relationships in my life and have tried to meet new people and make new friends, but right now, I am on a pause with that, because in Germany, making friends as an adult is sooo hard, a lot already "closed" themselves for new people, only surround themselves with their childhood friends and don't allow new people in their lives kinda, it's really frustrating here...which doesn't mean, I'll stop trying making new friends, but it's just really a bummer, when all the effort doesn't pay off and only drains you out... This picnic looked so nice and everyone looked so sweet🥰🤗. Also, the way you cut your videos is so calming to watch, if that makes sense😅 I really love that😍💚

rocks softened by the water are the best thing. they are so smooth and stay cold even on hot days. I collected a lot from lake Michigan and place them on my face when the heat wave hits. They are so relaxing.

That was such an emotive ending 💚 I remember seeing your first picnic in Paris on Instagram, but I've since deactivated my account so I missed out on the invitation for this one (not that I could go all the way from Portugal ahah) but I'm so glad you did it again. It seems like such a wholesome bonding experience 🌸 Thankfully I'm proud to say I've kept a very close group of friends for a decade now and I know I can trust them with my life. But because I rely so much on them, I'm generally adamant about letting anyone new in my friend circle, though I'm an extrovert.

I moved countries at 31 and I found facebook meetup groups for my city super useful. You just have to make yourself go, regularly. And you will find people. They then introduce you to their friends and before you know it, you will have a small but growing circle of new friends. It's all about being proactive though, is what I found. But so worth it. If you don't know where to start, this is a great place.

Great tips thank you 💚. I love the physical touch! I'm and introverted and not a very open person but trying to be more (with the right people). There's a balance of being comfortable with that and awkwardly forcing things that seem unnecessary oversharing (maybe that's an introvert thing lol). And as I found some kind of limiting beliefs and fears that can block you from feeling like you can be open without rejection. Angelina's advice is great as well - just being so open to making friends and possibilities that anyone's a potential friend and that manifests. Wish I could have come to your picnic! I think “being cringe” is just another way of hiding away from what we truly want to experience. In the case of making new friends, that awkward silence or eye contact is considered cringe but I’ve realised now, in those moments. We are all desperate for human connection, especially if you’ve been in that university setting sitting in a circle. I’m still unlearning it, but being Cringe is really just a barrier Ive formed, idk about others, but it’s certainly a reflection of how society has imposed itself on me. Anyways, being cringe is just part of bring human. To stop and shy yourself away from experiences because it’s cringey is to hinder yourself away from forming friendships. Be Cringe!
