This is the SMARTEST techtechnique I have ever seen 😭😭👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😻😻😻, do you think it would work with SMBC?
@KarolynsKakes2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I've never used SMBC. I believe it doesn't crust. But I don't see why this technique wouldn't work with it!

Yay for new video! Do u turn all of your fondant “scraps” into curlies or can you reuse the fondant that has set with the tylose again?
@KarolynsKakes2 жыл бұрын
I reuse the fondant until it gets too hard. When I make curlies, I usually have extra. So I save the extras in the plastic containers so I can use them on other cakes!

Hey hey hey love this video! I love the idea of wrapping the log around the toothpick and rolling it to form the crayon shape 😲. By the way I finally tried the mock Swiss buttercream that’s viral pretty much everywhere and it delicious. I really didn’t think I would like it but it was wonderful.

Awesome as always. I wanted to make this in October for my Grandson, his last couple were Monster Inc. and I wanted to kinda do that again but with sesame Street monsters. I have been thinking about how to do it for a Yr now, and instead.... He likes Blaze, Monster Machines. So now I gotta find a way to make a Truck lol. The monster Inc was easy compared to trucks I am sure. But got a friend who says if I can do that,he wants cars that look like Cars... Specific types of Cars, 3 different cakes. Which would be awesome if I can figure it out lol.
@KarolynsKakes2 жыл бұрын
Ugh it's the worst when people switch up the theme on you! Especially when they make it something that isn't fun to make 😂😂 I'm sure you'll figure it out!
@littlelady38952 жыл бұрын
@@KarolynsKakes I guess even worse when you switch it up your self lol. All last summer as I built and made all the stuff for the Monster Inc birthday party, I kept getting Ideas for Elmo and Cookie Monster. But he doesn't like them. And I don't want to make something he doesn't want. However, some day! I will get to make Elmo and Cookie Monster lol
@keishamcmillan9750 Жыл бұрын
@Karolyns Kakes could the Elmo be done in advance or no? Does it have to be done in the order you did it?
@KarolynsKakes Жыл бұрын
I prefer to make it as I'm putting it on the cake because the icing fur can create a mess if you try to handle it after it sets.

Karolyn how is it that you are able to work on your cakes at length and it stays so solid. As soon as I take mine out of the fridge mine starts getting soft even though I put very little water in it and my room is not hot. I’m so done! What am I doing wrong?????
@KarolynsKakes2 жыл бұрын
Mine gets a little shiny, but not too bad. My house isn't very humid. And it's also pretty cold. Maybe your home could be humid? You can get a gauge like this to see if it's humid in your house! amzn.to/3wuquzZ Also, my fridge temp is set in the middle of the dial. So it's not super cold in the fridge. I hope that helps!
