I decorated my front porch for the first time in a very long time. I purchase a 5ft Christmas tree, a woodland star tree topper and a few red, white & silver plastic ornaments. Spruced up my very old door wreath using a few of the new ornaments. Use a few other items I’ve owned for years: small wood child size rocking chair; with a white fuzzy pillow (looks like snow), small stuffed snowman holding a sleigh. Wrapped the bottom of the tree with a tree skirt that I made long ago (before kids). I’m loving how it all came together 💕🎄

Oh gosh just hearing you talk about your fur baby brought back my memories of my Austin (Auburn color poodle) that passed at age 14 this year in May. Gosh I miss him so much thank you lord for allowing us to have them apart of our family. ❤️ I have Austin’s picture and ashes in a cedar box and gave him his own little tiny Christmas tree.

I love your decorating ideas for your porch. I have never decorated a porch for Christmas. I have always enjoyed viewing older homes since they possess so much character. Unfortunately, I cannot live in one since I can feel the emotions, mental outlook, and health issues from others living in the home in the past. I told one realtor lady my feelings of a home I was considering and she said I was correct pertaining to the former inhabitants of the home. I told the lady the husband and wife had died in the home and I described their health issues. She stated the husband died from a heart attack as I stated and the lady had bone cancer as I had stated. I left the home suddenly. The lady realtor lady stated she has met other individuals such as myself who could detect the lives of others from the past in homes she was trying to sell. I purchase new homes only due to my sensitivity level. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful, a 2 story White House with black shutters always looks great to me. We have a 2 story White House with black shutters also which sits on a corner lot. 2 years ago we decided to dress the windows all around. Wow, what a difference. We also have shutters on side and back windows which I found was different. It really makes the entire house pop. I may get poinsettias tomorrow for our steps. You did a great job. Thank you.

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. We get a lot of snow and wind in the winter so I can’t decorate my front porch but I have the cutest shed that my husband just built for me so I am going to decorate it and take pretty pictures of my Grand Kids.

So cute, love the lodge vibes! Just a little note though for anyone thinking of the outdoor poinsettias- many areas are too cold for outdoor poinsettia plants. They don't like drafts or the plastic wrap they ship them around. They actually set off toxins and will kill themselves if kept with the clear wrap. I would hate to see someone unknowingly attempt Lauren's beautiful porch.

Makes me sad. Texas panhandle has frequent 40 mile an hour winds in December. Very few Christmas decorations can survive that! I’ve picked up some that had blown two blocks away
