I LOVE all of it, but agree with Laura, that the big grass on that table would look dramatic and wonderful until the fire is lit. I can imagine it will be moved, for possible heat issues but also, so all guests can see the fire and hearth. Perhaps a console or bar cart? can be placed in another focal point allowing the big arrangement to be seen on those days the fire is lit?

This area is really lovely and I bet it feels wonderful to be surrounded by things you grew. Would you ever do a video on growing Boxwood plants, and similar plants? I love the 3 little ones on your fireplace and all around your place, the hedges are so pretty and they help create different areas. I'd love to know more about the plants, which ones to select, how long they take to grow, how to prune them, and how they tolerate hot sun in high desert conditions, and cold. Thanks for all you do--I'm always so excited to see your videos--and this was a nice surprise on Saturday morning--how thrilling!

Oh my goodness Laura you have such a natural knack for decorating and making anything beautiful. I really love this area it has such a fall vibe and I can only imagine how much fun it must be to enjoy this area when it's cold and have a warm cozy fire. You are so lucky that your temperatures are still enjoyable, I live in Idaho and it has been bitter cold, and the other day it rained and then snowed, it has melted and is just cold, with the highs no more than mid 50's and the lows below 25 and one day dropping to 19. This was such a fun video that makes me want to decorate more but still keep in mind that where I live it will probably freeze. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful video, I hope you have a wonderful weekend, bye for now.
