Move sofa around. Then open area on windows near fireplace for blue chair and the other one. Much bigger mirror since room has such high ceiling. Wax the round coffee table. Maybe two tables there.

Over the mantle would look better, I think, with something more substantial than the round mirror. It is a lovely mirror, but looks a little small for the space. Love the colors you are going with!

Great job on all of the work. My only comment would be that I feel you need a more substantial mirror about the fireplace (and possibly a more substantial coffee table and end rack as the scale feels off to me with that huge sofa).

The more I watch your videos the more inspired I become. You and your husband remind me so much my my husband and I. My husband I bought a house that is over a hundred years old. Shortly after we bought it I became to ill to continue teaching and then he was laid off due to the coal industry failing. Since then we have worked on the house as we were able. As I said, the more I watch your videos the more inspired I become. I’m in the process of watching your older videos. I’m so glad your channel was suggested to me by KZbin.

I love the colors you've chosen for the living room and hallway. The furniture is gorgeous. The only thing I can't see is the modern light fixture you will be using. I see a vintage style. I think a lot of us thought the decor was going to be more vintage. I love the way it’s look, but it’s not matching the house. The Farmhouse on Boone channel has been redo an old farmhouse and doing a great job of honoring the house. But she does a lot of shopping for vintage stuff and vintage replicas. It is beautiful.

Hi, I would add a set of nesting tables to the space. When your sofa is so large people can't reach the coffee table to put beverages down. If you have a set beside the chair, tables can be set by sofa when needed.

It all looks great so far. Can not wait to see it finished. I myself probably would have had the blue curtains on both sides of both windows with the white ones in the center of course. But that's just me. But can't wait to see what they will look like the way you are going to put them up. I love the round coffee table. It goes great with the floors! I think I would have had to put a TV in the room unless you are going to use it as a reading room.

I was one of the few who suggested having a tv on the wall, built to look like artwork by day and allowing for movies (sporting events, Downton Abbey etc) because we removed our tv from our family room and now no one sits in there - it's too boring. Ha ha.

I would have put the tv over the fireplace too. I mean if you have a family/recreation room to put one in, that's fine, but if not, and unless you entertain, the living room won't get a great deal of use. There is actually a flat screen tv, that when not in use looks like a painting.

Hi Elysia! 2 things, I think the Hudson bay blanket clashes with the esthetic of the room. Maybe use that in another room? 2nd, I'm concerned that the heavy blue drapes will darken the room too much? Maybe have those panels on the wall rather than the windows? I absolutely love the room and the rug and couch are perfect! It looks so beautiful! I'm so relieved you are keeping the blue walls in the hallway!!!!!

You really do have an eye for style and color. Love all your choices especially the coffee table. What a beauty! The only thing I (me personally) would change are the heavy velvet drapes. The navy color is spot on but a medium linen or cotton fabric would be better. Velvet drapes/curtains were what they used in the time you house was built but with your lovely updated furniture they just don't compliment.

Love it! I would rethink no end tables. When you’re visiting and chilling, you usually have a drink. What about making some very narrow sofa tables for behind each section oh couch? That way they wouldn’t be in your view and cluttering up the room, but you would still have a space to put your drinks as you’re sitting there talking, just a thought.

I know you are SUPER busy but you are a talented artist and should put up a large painting. I think an abstract one with those colours you have going on throughout the main floor would be nice.
