Well You Two started something. The rocks look fine and so do all the plants and dishes to make the w,falls. I am still looking for some but USA does not always ship to Australia or is not available till 2020! Mine need to be with brown rocks! I have two small ponds connected with a little stream after the top overflow but I lost some interest but now it got 35o it will be all different. I run it with UV light and filter pump. It works fine! Like the sound of water but do turn it off every evening.

This video was informative. I'm currently fixing a small 31 gallon pond at my parents place. The Pygmy water lily, soil and ferts are in its way. Just stocked some mosquitofish and today a dozen Golden Topminnows. I've been thinking about doing a diy pond filter using those square planters and ordering a simple pond pump from eBay. I'd just have to get The spillway and extra slate stone last. I really want to create a small waterfall effect because of the sound. I hope it all works out. I love your pond Pecktec!!!

Great job, man. Some dirt backfill would have been great for that berm though. Also, try placing a small piece of PVC pipe, preferably black so you can't see it, on the bottom of the pool for a fish hide. Any problems with predators eating your fish?

Great video, thanks for sharing. Helpful as I try to do my first pond from scratch.
@lauratruthseekingWarrior3 жыл бұрын
If you had brought in more dirt for around the molded pond, you could have added the rocks and boulders and it would have looked more like you would have wanted, just FYI, otherwise it looks great! I would have made the flower bed around it larger to add more plantings too… We are going to do one also in our back yard by the patio this year.

Very well done! I like it! Very good hardware and appliances you have. It is addictive an hoppy and You Two can be very proud. Where can you get some of these items. I have great interest in your pond enclosure and w,fall and spillway but need to spend time to all enjoy it. I have too much already but than there is always better and that is You! Look for more 2nd eds.

Nice job, looks great. I had never heard of using old news paper to line the bed before sound like a good idea tho.
@TemplarX28 жыл бұрын
Need to be a bit bigger (twice bigger). You have to put plants in between the stones to further decorate it and makes it look natural. It can be turned into an aquaponics too with fish water irrigating a raised bed of plants. You can grow extremely valuable and decorative plants like tumeric. Great start though.

Does the pump need to go into the housing thing you had or can it set right in the pond
@pecktec4 жыл бұрын
Those small ones should have some protection from debris. That’s the main reason for the box. There are pumps that are made to grind stuff up.
@lorriehernandez4694 жыл бұрын

Hi, how do you deal with the pond in the winter? Ours looks fine all the summer. In the winter, since we employ the water, the pond popped out above the ground… a headache for us now… since we have to resettle the pond and reeven it… trying to learn from you to see what we shall do for the doing the things right for the second time…thank you ahead. :)

@newmanpenny7 жыл бұрын
No, but it helps. I get tons of algae and air in the water is best for any fish. I have two ponds and no waterfalls. I bought a very cheap "lily pad" that brings up water and makes a little trickle but it is solar and the more sun, the more algae it seems.
