So glad to see that you've been inspired by my twig cloche video to build the tepee, yours looks great! I used my tepees for peas, but yours look sturdy enough for tomatoes. Love the way you used bark as the weaving and finial, marvelous. Thank you for the plug, much appreciated>

@@rosagapi yup, it's only about two feet wide and 12feet long but she packs eeeverything in there! She was so stinking proud when we picked leeks and brussel sprouts yesterday in the middle of winter and she gets to brag about it at the dinner table! 😂❤ she has popcorn, potatoes, peas, broad beans, tomatoes, parsley, squash, and a bunch of flowers planned for this year. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out! Her 9yo sister has a much bigger flower border/herb garden with a tiiiiny seating area for one chair in it. It's a bit different, but hey, when you're broke you figure out cheap hobbies for the kids! 😂👍

@@lemonielala3080 one of the best things I've read today. You know, my father has a garden full of vegetables here in Italy, which is good if you're broke... or in lockdown due to some new virus... Your children will have farmer skills... they are very lucky

@@rosagapi I looooove Italy! 😍 I feel for you being on lockdown, we're just getting started here in Finland. Kids had orders to take home all school books in prepration of the school possibly closing, so it's a good thing they can keep busy in the yard if it comes to that! 😉 let's hope it blows over soon so we can get back to normal life. Until then, we'll just binge suburban homestead and craft away in the garden. ❤🌱👌

I love using sticks in my garden, they are sculptural and very beautiful. Climbing beans do very well on teepees. I find stick and branch teepees a bit better than bamboo as the rougher surface is easier for plants to cling to and climb. Sweetpeas grow well with stick supports.

It turned out well and looks much more attractive than metal cages. Oh the branches for the structure was from pruning my mock orange.

Hi Siloe. Haven't seen one of your videos in quite a while. I really liked your obelisk! I also notice that you said you like Jeri Landers. She is another of my favorites! You are both unique and very real artists. One of the things I admire about both, your and Jeri's gardens is that they are "perfectly imperfect." Honest and real. Unpretentious. Thank you for showing this video on how to make your garden obelisk. You have inspired me to make a few for my own garden! Oh, and I particularly liked the finishing touch that you added to the top. The orb is perfection! : )
