have about 75 years of family Christmas cards- been thinking of putting them on wood slices- picture on front and the signatures on the back- was trying to figure out how to put them on ornaments- the plastic one that are flatish and round- going to try to remove as much extra paper as you did- hope it works

Yes. I always stick with light paint as a base. I always paint first if the paper is very thin and transparent. This card paper, though I removed the backing was still fairly thick.

Good idea placing the bottle onto the picture and then rolling it while in the cling wrap. I would have tried to pick it up 🤣 Sometimes things don't come out the way you planned and that's okay. It's absolutely gorgeous, well done.

I used mod podge to apply the picture and then on top of the picture before I carried on with the paint. To seal the project, I used Galaxy glitter. It’s a sealant made by the same company that makes Triple Thick.

Folk art craft paint and often I put a base of white chalk craft paint as a primer base. I like that plain palette when starting.
