Thanks for sharing your tutorial. I didn't miss all the chit-chat that is on so many others. I have cards and knew they were to thick to decoupage. You helped me solve the problem. Thanks again.

Wow Patti, what a work of art! Your finished piece looks spectacular with all the sparkle and shimmer. I love the way you painted the snowflakes. Brilliant idea on how to use some of those beautiful cards we don't want throw away or leave in a box.

+mary chrambanis Thank you Mary, you are a girl after my own heart with the sparkle. The video clip I added in the description? That woman painted them on her arms and they were beautiful! I was having a hard time looking through the tiny lense of the camera as I was applying the first snowflake so I'm happy it came out ok. Don't you just get some of the most beautiful cards sometimes? I don't want to throw them away so I wanted to find a way to reuse them. :) Patti

+Deneen Lotz Deezie I really do think you and I were seperated at birth! I would cover everything in glitter if I could. Thank you so much Deezie-you must be experiencing some of the beautiful fall leaves out there right? Patti
@deezie789 жыл бұрын
+Deneen Lotz Patti, my husband has been known to find glitter in his food :) Not on purpose of course. The leaves here are just gorgeous, I just made a garland over my kitchen window with some of the leaves. So pretty, how I love fall. You have the same weather as I do so your leaves are pretty too thenEnjoy this gorgeous weekend*deezie

Thank you Deezie, I'm laughing over your husband finding glitter in his food. Sometimes when we're out a friend will ask my husband, "Do you have glitter in your hair?" I always get "The look" but we do laugh about it. We spent some time out in those leaves yesterday walking along the Delaware, and the tow path. I'll be posting pictures to my FB page today-my personal one-but first, I have to begin this week's project. Enjoy your day! Patti

If I start now I'll have some ready for next Christmas. Can I ask is the oven temperature centigrade or Fahrenheit, could make a difference.
@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+Carolyn McGregor We are here in the United States and I always forget the video's are seen world wide. Especially in the UK/our oven temps are Fahrenheit. I have to remember to say that--- Thanks Carolyn. And have fun! Patti

Beautiful love it! Did you use the hairspray or spray adhesive on tulle so glitter stick?
@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+Irma Pereira-Rivera The spray adhesive. LOL/what a mess. The hairspray worked great originally ( and I use the hardcore stuff that glues your hair into place) then the glitter flaked off onto my dogs and cats. :) The spray adhesive was perfect though. Thank you Irma! Patti

@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+Maria Rizzo hello Maria and Thank you! I agree with you about the sparkle...I would add it to everything. I used Martha Stewart's glue -her clear glue- although any clear drying craft glue will work. Thanks again Maria! Patti

Can I paint or decoupage a formica coffee table?
@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+michelle staunton Yes, it would be a very good idea to use chalk paint over the formica first. You may want to use two coats. Then you can follow these instructions. :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnnVeaWLotmkr80 Patti

@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
+rubymimosa I do NOT like using subtitles, I had so many problems with the making, rather the editing of this video it was unbelievable. I almost didn't get the video out this week! So I prefer to talk since it seems much more personal. Thank you for the feedback! And I know what you mean about the giddyness factor. I experience it all the time. Decoupage is my vice! LOL. Love hearing from you....have a nice weekend. Patti
@marybirder56639 жыл бұрын
+patioelf I'm not one who would ever encourage anyone's "vice", but your vice is our hope and guided faith. Your tutorials have inspired me to begin the fine craft of decoupage~~fingers crossed on the learning curve ahead. Many thanks for the precious time you put into making your videos.
@patioelf9 жыл бұрын
mary birder aww, what a very sweet thing to say Mary. If my vice was harming anyone I would work to get rid of it, but since it's quite a calming craft and it's encouraged you and others to give it a try, that just makes my day! Thank you so much Mary... Patti
