Age us wisdom and honoring the ones before us is a way to be blessed

This is such an indelibly necessary conversation that needs to be discussed more! I asked a room full of Gen Alpha tweens what they wanted to be when they grew up and their looks of perplexity and the thousand mile stares of the whole group without readily available answers was astoundingly heartbreaking. There's a lack of their understanding that their lives lived out fully have inherit value with far and wide implications, whether this is good or bad is based on the choices we make. Everyone, anywhere, all the time are contributors to improving their lives (or can be a detriment) and not just of themselves but persons they know and the people who know those people too. Life isn't like tiktok with a beginning, middle, and end in 15-seconds or less, it's 70+ years culmination of our choices, our authenticity, and courage to constantly self-evaluate and seek of our own volition the help of wise counsel if a reroute is necessary. A word from an elder is priceless! Elders have been their age and made mistakes that they don’t know to prepare for; the elders advice they ignore out of hubris and contempt ends up being the F'ed up decision they make tomorrow that has lifelong consequences.

I always went to older ppl cuz I figured they knew more than me n could help me n they did each n everytime. As I got older I also listened to young ppl, I get to see things from their POV n some r extremely smart. Like him, DEE-1, he's intelligent n I can also learn from him. Excellent 👍👍👍

People have so many stories of the industry but don't never want to give up a name

@Carlosjmiller If you name names you could end up in court fighting for everything you have and are going to have. EVEN IF IT'S TRUE AND YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT.

I'm sure most want to. What they don't want to do is be stuck in court losing time and money that they'll never get back, all for a legal fight they could very easily lose. The people saying "name him" aren't also saying "I'll be beside you in court everyday and I'll pay for your entire legal defense".

It’s annoying how many of these guys will talk about executives propositioning them but never name names. Leaving bandits out here to keep doing it to others.

Are you just slow??
@jzeusakajodin26712 күн бұрын
You don't think they try to not say names; as to not draw attention to themselves to get "silenced." You have to be slow.
@carltonmartin35262 күн бұрын
@@jzeusakajodin2671 ok, since I am slow. Can you explain why they would say anything at all if they don’t want to be silenced? If that’s their attitude, why speak on it if that’s your primary concern. It sounds like people want it both ways. They want to speak on their experiences in the industry and get the light from speaking on the issue, yet not name names so they can protect themselves from being “silenced” Also, I am slow, so can you also explain why it would be justified to prioritize your silence and protect your spot in an industry over naming names and warning others about booty bandits waiting in the weeds?
@carltonmartin35262 күн бұрын
@@jzeusakajodin2671 you must be the booty bandit he was speaking on. It’s ok. They won’t name names. Your secret is safe.

After talking with my brother who is 12 years younger than me and his friends, they don’t really wanna take the advice of old people because of they are hyper visual they need a true point of reference when it comes to things. And a lot of times they’re willing to risk it all if both roads lead to nothing. If they pears were broke grandparents were broke great grandparents were broke and they don’t wanna be in that circumstance and continue that cycle. They are willing to risk it all because in their eyes death is better than being poor. That badger honor statement is more true than ever in their eyes.
