Great review. Im probably going to go for the T20 model as i want hot water mopping. Size of the station is a lot bigger though 🤔

@@michaeljames3694 hot water is only for cleaning the mop pads as i know, but when will start mopping, the pads will get cold immediately. Is that right?
@michaeljames36942 ай бұрын
@CosticaTT My understanding is heats the water then applies to the mops. To be fair I have never felt the floor but this is how it's explained in the booklet. It does also heat to clean.

I see there is no cold water inlet to the robot, I.e there isn't an integrated water tank in the robot compared to the t20 omni. Do you find that the robot has to go back to the station to wet it's mops quite frequently?
@Kalbo64 Жыл бұрын
Hi, this is a bit of a guestimation as I have not really monitored it but I would say it goes back after about 12 square metres of mopping. The mop heads always seem to stay wet and efficient, and it uses about 40% of the water tank with the dirty water tank showing it has been working well.

How does it work, especially in kitchen corners? Does it mop and vacuum those places?
@Kalbo6410 ай бұрын
Hi, it vacuums close to edges, and works well. It does not get tight to any edges so with this and as far as I know every robovac you need to finish edges by hand when needed.

Hi I read very bad comments on Reddit. Does anyone encounter the same problems discussed at Reddit?

Are you still using this vacuum. Is it still working like when you just got it. Any issues with it.
@Kalbo64Ай бұрын
Hi, yes I am still using it. I have not had any with it other than it still struggles on the step in my kitchen. if the dog knocks it then it starts a cleaning process, and I have to return it to base. Fairly minor issues, and the dog see's it as the enemy, so it is deliberate. I do plan to do a follow up video at some point, over all I am pleased with it and it does a great job.

@@Kalbo64 Thank you for responding. I was wondering, if you do not have a bag in the station, does the vacuum still work? Do I just empty the vacuum, or will it not work without a bag in the station?
@Kalbo64Ай бұрын
Hi, it is not something I have tried, but I am not sure it is possible to manually empty it. I got 3rd party bags and replacement mop heads, which were a lot cheaper and work perfectly.

I bought one, i love it! Thank you for all your help. Hope you have a wonderful day

No problem. I haven't ever run it without a bag so don't know, I suspect it would come up with a warning "bag full" or "no bag". I just throw the bag away once full, and replace with another. The 3rd party ones I got work perfectly so I don't buy the branded. I don't know if you have had a robovac before, but far from being a fancy gadget that doesn't do a great job, (as I had pre-judged them as before I got one" they perform great, they cover every inch of the floor, and leave it spotless. Good luck, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

What's is different t20 and t20e
@Kalbo64 Жыл бұрын
Hi, as far as I am aware the difference is the Deebot T20 uses hot water for the mopping - heats the water, and the Deebot T20e uses cold water and does not heat.

ChatGpt’s response on t20 vs t20e: The Ecovacs DEEBOT T20 OMNI and DEEBOT T20e OMNI are both advanced robot vacuum cleaners with mopping capabilities, offering features such as self-emptying and self-cleaning docks. While they share many similarities, there are notable differences between the two models: Key Differences: • Mop Washing Temperature: • T20 OMNI: Equipped with a self-cleaning dock that washes the mopping pads with hot water, enhancing cleaning efficiency by effectively removing oil and stains. • T20e OMNI: Features a self-cleaning dock that washes the mopping pads with cold water. • Mopping System: • T20 OMNI: Utilizes the OZMO™ Turbo 2.0 Rotating Mopping System, which applies consistent pressure to the floor for deep cleaning, effectively scrubbing away stubborn stains. • T20e OMNI: Also employs the OZMO™ Turbo 2.0 Rotating Mopping System, providing similar mopping capabilities. • Brush Design: • T20 OMNI: Features a full rubber main brush, designed to reduce hair tangling and enhance durability. • T20e OMNI: Comes with a combination brush made of rubber and bristles, which may be more prone to hair tangling. • Price Point: • T20 OMNI: Positioned at a higher price point, reflecting its advanced features. • T20e OMNI: Initially introduced as a more affordable alternative to the T20 OMNI, though current pricing may vary. Shared Features: • Suction Power: Both models offer powerful suction capabilities, with the T20 OMNI providing up to 6,000 Pa suction power for deep cleaning. • Auto-Lift Mopping System: Both robots can automatically lift the mopping pads when detecting carpets, allowing seamless transition between vacuuming and mopping modes. • Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance: Equipped with advanced navigation technologies, both models efficiently map and clean spaces while avoiding obstacles. • OMNI Station Functions: The all-in-one OMNI stations for both models provide self-emptying of dustbins, self-cleaning of mopping pads, and automatic water tank refilling, offering a hands-free cleaning experience. Conclusion: The choice between the DEEBOT T20 OMNI and the T20e OMNI depends on your specific needs and budget. If hot water mop washing and a full rubber brush are priorities for enhanced cleaning and maintenance, the T20 OMNI would be the preferable option. However, if you seek a more budget-friendly model with robust features, the T20e OMNI remains a strong contender. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it’s recommended to consult the official Ecovacs website or contact authorized retailers.

Sorry I have the question. When washing the mop in hot water, will the steam from washing the mop affect the machine itself or the base station for a long time? What I mean Will steam damage the machine?
@Kalbo64 Жыл бұрын
Hi, the Deebot T20e only uses cold water but has hot air drying. I don't see this being an issue as I would expect this to have been addressed in design with good protection. This is my opinion rather than fact as I haven't had it long enough to see. Should it be an issue I would return under warrantee, and expect resolution.

You are welcome. The only issues I have found so far are that it does not climb the small step between the kitchen and living room very well when in mop mode, and it won't go under lower units due to the height with the sensor on the top. Apart from that I am finding it does a great cleaning job.
