I know a bunch of white girls from school, work, military etc that can't keep a man. The 3 married white couples I know are high school sweethearts. I also think a lot of sisters are horrible at choosing men and have a false ideal of what tough or macho men are and what they look like. A average woman dating a average man is not dating down. A woman making 80k dating a guy making 50k is not a big difference in lifestyles. Now she's making 80k and he's making 30k, that's below average.

Hi! 39 years old and going through a divorce. He moved into my house, designated an office for himself instead of a room for his son, had son sleep in our master bedroom, and had an issue with paying about 60% of the bills. I don’t have any children. The problem is he did not have much ambition (could not secure stable employment) and really needed a place to stay. Sorry, but some men are looking to live off you and not build with you. I think that may be core to the issue with black women. Many black men are simply not as ambitious as black women and black women simply do not want to be with men who are not able to support themselves and they do not want to be taken advantage of. I make “six figures” with a stable income but my ex husband has not been able to support himself before we met and in the 5 years we were together. Furthermore, i was CONSTANTLY cleaning up after him and he wanted to just have s3x, as it was my “obligation” as a wife. I’m not sure if i ever will marry again, but if marriage is like the one i was in, I’ll gladly abstain and opt to be happily single.
