I think you underestimate Madonna. She was a pretty serious dancer and very fit. She likely could have physically done both if she had paced it with her breathing like Lady Kier does here, but Kier is the better singer, and of course more "fly". I missed the boat on Dee-lite because I assumed they were another corporate contrivance of video edits, but I was on top of an apt building while they were playing on the Hudson one night in NYC way back when. I could just barely see the stage and hear them. Sounded very good from what I could make out.

That’s funny you say that. Because When people talk about Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus or Taylor Swift or some other half-wit, I always say they can’t touch Madonna. Madonna got groove, watch off her videos where She’s singing and dancing with two dozen other people and you’ll notice that out of the 25 people dancing she is the best has the most rhythm the sweetest groove and is in best time with the music. But Dee-groovy is tight too:)

Saw them in '92 in SF, they brought a full band with them, Bernie Worrell on keys, Bootsie on Bass....they Grooooved. This NYC performance has a lotta prerecorded stuff - note nobody is behind drumset, even. So they graduated to a full band which was the right thing to do. Eitehr way, a GREAT band a Lady Kier was always a Class Act ...with her beliefs in the right place !
