ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

This is one of the most technical and vocally masterful battles ever! That was absolutely insane. Deejay has a crazy range and the way he can run all up and around his registers is wild! He’s a beast, but boy oh boy, there is something about Ephraim that is so captivating to me. The way he commands the stage is amazing. Also, the richness and warm baritone low is so stunning, but then he starts mixing and belting high and you don’t expect that. That big belt moment he had really shifted the scale for me, but then Deejay did that crazy high part, and I was like welp! Nobody really won, they both should go through because they both absolutely ate it up!!!

Deejay looked terrified as they waited for Legend to choose. He had so many intricacies in his singing. Ephraim seemed more confident. I do think is better performer/showman. Ans so much raw talent! My opinion - Ephraim should have won. And Deejay stolen. I hope Ephraim will come back one way or the other. He’s got so much inside of him. He’s not afraid for others to do well. Sign of a really good man.

In my opinion, Deejay is the type to win competitions due to his range and put on these huge productions, whereas Ephraim is the type of singer for everyday listening and connection. They’re both super great, but it’s like comparing apples and oranges. It really comes down to what each individual listener is looking for, because they both killed that in their own way.

To begin, this battle was really exciting and entertaining. Thank God, John is back. Deejay and Ephraim are both such powerful singers, I mean, since the blinds, that was obvious. Really great performance. beautifully done from both of them. I do think Ephraim's voice type, look etc is more commercial or whatever but yeah Deejay's vocal prowess is incredible. He gets really up there and such clarity and facility. Both shined well and came together well, but In terms of degree of difficulty, I have to say what Deejay was doing was a little more technically impressive to me.
