Whenever you fall into sin, which inevitably we all will because of our human nature- don't ever try to justify it. Not even for a single second. The best thing you can do is accept that you sinned. Because the Shaytan & Adam (as) both committed a sin by disobeying Allah, but the shaytan justified his sins and turned away in arrogance, while Adam (as) turned back to Allah in repentance. Justifying your sins and making excuses will just hurt your soul even more. Remember that Allah's mercy will always be there for you- as long as you are willing to humble yourself and turn back.

How do you concretely study tafseer ? You take notes, or you only read while reading a surah ?

Me personally I like to read theb Surah first, than the Tafsir and after that I like to put the Koran and Tafsir book next to eachother and make notes. Also like to write down some ayas that I find interesting.

Sis i stay away from most of my non muslim friends as some of are toxic. I dont have any muslim friends. I tried to be in touch with a muslim uni friend but she doesnt bother to keep in touch.
