I love this guy's confidence when he's throwing this stuff down, he doesn't even bother listening as he goes. He's like a chef throwing things into pot, seemingly at random, and when it's cooked he just serves it up without even a taste test. Which is all well and good, yet Chris ends up with a gourmet meal every time!

FM gets really interesting when you start using LFO shapes as the carrier, also been experimenting with adding a slightly kinked wave at really high speed on the pitch doing a sort of tremolo effect on top of the FM

Thanks for the great clip. I'm working on a big project using breath rate input and want to modulate atmospheric filters in Max from the live Breath Rate data, and i have a hard time finding the good tool for that. I just downloaded Snap Heap and have Phase Plant, i tried Morph EQ with the Morph parameter automated, but it's not "rich" enough. Thanks if you have a tip or proposition, Martin

A tough call! Dune 3 is one of the best sounding synths ever made. Phase Plant is fun to program and can sound good too. Try them both and see which workflow suits you, that's my best advice.

So far all ive seen were dubstep neurobass, generally loud and harsh type patches with this synth and thats not something im all that into. This video peaked my interest. Do you think this synth is still for someone like me who just likes spacey, lush, warm, and ethereal sounds? Or should I stick with something less complex. Im not an expert in sound design btw, I only have Diva and Pigments

Man...same here. I just purchased Arturia's V collection 8 last month for a crazy deal of $150 and have barely made a dent in it with my limited free time. Now this comes along for $100 off which is an awesome deal and I don't think I can pass it up, I'll be kicking myself later if I do. Does GAS apply to software?

Phase Plant might just be the best synth out there right now. In the sense of what you can do and how easily. Sure something like UVI Falcon is extremely capable, but the UI, ugh! Hard to use.

I've never used Falcon but I've heard similar sentiments. I'll have to give it a go someday! I know how powerful it is.
