To address the Botox and migraine comment, medical Botox for migraine is a completely different procedure and dilution than cosmetic Botox. The medical use of Botox is far greater than the cosmetic use. I am a nurse and worked for a neurologist who had a Botox clinic on Friday. We injected for facial and blepharospasm, spasmodic torticollis, contractures in limbs and backs, as well as for Parkinson's patients who excessively drool. There was another neurologist in the same office who did the injections for migraines. These injections can be absolutely life changing for people and give them better quality of life. This might be more than anyone might have been interested in, but worth a mention since injections for migraines will do nothing cosmetically but can knock out the migraines for some people. I can see where someone might mistakenly think otherwise.

I was NEVER a morning person but about 4 years ago I started getting up ay 4:30am to walk my dog and then workout in my basement. The walk is so peaceful at that time in the morning. The stars are so bright. It's my time to "talk" to my dad, mom, brother and sister who all passed away. Now if I don't get up and do all of that, my day is off. It's such a positive feeling to get up and start the day with a positive attitude. Emily, I prayed for you and your family when your dad was going through his heart surgery. I remember you were updating all of us and I was so happy when your dad came out of surgery. I have been following you since the newscaster days. You bring joy to all of us through your videos.

Can I ask what your frequency of migraines tends to be? For me, I only get maybe 4-5 a year... I despise them, so it really feels like 4 or 5 too many (haha)... but would it be worthwhile for the occasional migraine sufferer?

@@emilynoel83 I had four or five a week. Blue Cross paid mine but for your frequency they may not. Get your Dr. to check. They need to find out who does them I go to a pain center so my Dr. did it. I’ve suffered with them since I was 13 and I’m now 53, they have become debilitating. I get them now at least 5+ times a month. Neurologist has tried every med under the sun, and nothing has worked. @@ladyasaid yeah unfortunately it's a big thing on YT. A lot of creators are having the problem. And YT is trying to fix it but so many comments come into YT in a day it's difficult to keep up with it. Now you know and can warn others if you see it again. We gotta keep each other safe.

I watch a lot of KZbin beauty content and you are one of the few content creators whose videos I will watch from the beginning right through to the end. It's not only the specific beauty knowledge but your intelligence shines. You are bright and articulate and I feel like you are not trying to be something other than just who you are. You seem authentic and I respect that! Thanks for another great video 😁

Emily, thank you so much for your openness in answering questions. I think I could write pages & pages responding to what you wrote! You had me in tears as you were talking about your Dad's health... & your Mom's health. I lost my Dad almost 4 1/2 years ago after a long difficult bout with cancer. I could so relate to your feelings... I think as adult children we aren't really prepared when one or both parents become ill. I commend you for sharing your faith, your prayer time, your prayer journal... You are so right with the consistency & choice. I did botox for migraines for close to 10 years. At that point it basically quit being effective. So I'm now on a different treatment plan that seems to be effective. I always enjoy watching your videos... I feel better when I can spend time with you! You truly blend with your users & seem to know what to say just when it needs to be said... wisdom & encouragement! Thank you!!!!!!

Gosh what a beautiful blessing to have your dad healed and back to himself. My dad was diagnosed with ALS in 2021. He's had symptoms for about 5 years and finally we got him to a neurologist that could diagnose him. It is unfortunately terminal and not treatable. It's heartbreaking to see him slipping away little by little over time. It's hard to watch our parents age, isn't it?

MIGRAINES, I enrolled in a trial for Botox specifically for migraines several years ago. It has been amazing. It cut my migraine days in half after 2 months. You get 28 tiny injections in the scapl, neck and forehead. And yes they hurt. Not as much as childbirth but sometimes they can take me by surprise. The injections sound like rice crispness. The second thing I do is a monthly injection. I began with Emgality but because of health insurance I now use Aimovig. I also keep a journal talking about what I was 1. Doing, 2. Eating, 3. Place I was in, 4. Weather, 5. Time of day when the migraine started. The amazing thing is after a few months you will see a pattern develop. Take your journal to your primary care Dr. And ask if Botox might work for you. I also have Occular Migraine where I loose the sight in my left eye but have no pain. Good luck to you on your journey. I do hope you can find some relief.

Oh Em. I felt like I was sitting down with an "IRL" friend this entire time. I discovered you shortly after you had Bitty. You had posted a video talking about some of your struggles postpartum, nursing, etc. and that's what connected me to you - at first. Since then, I have maybe missed a handful of videos, and honey, if I click, I always watch the entire video - even if I have to come back to it multiple times because of various life interruptions. I ALWAYS find myself smiling when I watch you. There is a sincerity, a genuine kindness that just exudes from you in the absolute best possible way. I just wish I could really convey to you how special you are to my heart. I live in rural Kentucky, have a single child and a husband who cares for many acres of land, animals, and his disabled father. Sometimes, it can feel isolating. You are such a light in the darkness. The whole entire youtube platform could come crashing down and as long as you remain - I would be overjoyed. Thank you for your integrity. Thank you for being honest, kind, and taking the road less traveled. Thank you for sticking with your convictions regardless of the trends. Thank you for being you. I love you dearly. 💜💜

You're such a warm, caring, genuine, and grounded person. Every time I watch one of your videos, I walk away feeling so positive and like you truly care about each and every one of us who is watching. I love that you share bits of your personal life with us, and I really loved the marriage advice you gave in this video. I also like that your makeup reviews/recommendations are frequently about using what we already have or options that are affordable. You're just an overall lovely person and I truly look forward to watching your videos whenever they come out. I also want to say that it's so nice that you say I love you at the end of all your videos. With all of the negative going on in the world, it's so nice to hear someone say that in the genuine way that you do.
