I agree completely! Emily’s channel is the only channel I still follow from when I first downloaded the KZbin app nine or so years ago, and I believe she’s the only beauty channel I follow. She is so professional,honest, and positive staying away from drama. There’s a KZbinr I saw a video of last night, as a matter of fact, where she was basically begging people to use her affiliate links bc she’s no longer getting sponsorship due to some controversial topics she covers (she talks about celebrity plastic surgeries). That didn’t set well with me.

Hi! I'm 55 and I just want to say I echo everything you just stated. It has become increasingly difficult to find things on you tube (forget TV hardly anything left that I want to watch that isn't either extremely biased from a political perspective (really hate that) and/or so overly sexualized hate this equally ...has left me not turning on my TV in probably 6 or 7 years. I only found Emily about 3 years ago (well around when she did her collab and put out the Wants & Needs palettes) so when I have the time and I don't have any new vids from the handful of creators I still watch I go back and watch Emily's old videos. I do this with all of the creators who have so many years of videos that I never saw. I also watch recent videos many times over. Emily is definitely the most honest, authentic God loving family woman on you tube, of course in my opinion. I am so glad the Lord brought me to her channel because I have truly learned so much from Emily and definitely not all of it is about make up. I have picked up some of the various devotionals she's shown and absolutely loved them, some of my friends I've made on Instagram have also picked up the same devotionals and we sort have our "Emily Time" together and chat about what is the weeks scripture and Emilys video that week. I truly hope Emily really understands how much she has given to this world via her you tube community and the huge library of videos that are there for anyone to watch, for free! :) blessings and I wish you a beautiful day. ❤

Agree about newborn as a difficult time. Toddlers, preschoolers, elementary age a piece of cake in comparison, but then preteen and adolescence, bam, back to the tough times. But they grow out of all that and then they fly away 😢.

I think that you use influencer brands a lot, but you don’t make a point of it and treat them like any other brand. Most people will do “whole face of influencer brands” kind of videos and you don’t do that. I prefer that you treat them the same as any other product.❤

Emily, I have to say, when you were speaking about your children, the way you were so genuine about your hopes for them as people was so beautiful. I teared up! It come across as loving, honest, genuine and that is not something you ever find in KZbin anymore, at least not for me. It didn't at all sound scripted, or like you were trying to sound a "certain" way. It just came off as YOU as a mom, a wife, and just a person in the world! I do agree with you about how the authenticity amongst "influencers" is so scripted and not real. People I used to follow for only makeup started to do so many sponsored (not even makeup related) weekly vlogs that I just don't even watch them anymore. I KNOW it's for the money. I know this because they all are so burnt out and talk about the burnout from being influencers all of the time. For you, this space and this channel comes off as a place that you control, that you enjoy, and so you can choose to be YOU!! I only got my hands on The Needs and The Wants in the last year, and I love those palettes! My Needs palette comes everywhere with me when I’m travelling, even if it’s just overnight. And I used both palettes on a bride and her bridal party just this morning, and they all loved it! Emily, I’ve never commented before but I’ve been a faithful watcher for years now. I always appreciate your honesty and the fact that you’re so down to earth! I’m in a very similar season- four young kids and my husband and I both work full time. Our time to connect is always after the kids go to bed (until I fall asleep mid-conversation!), except for one night a week when I get together with a few friends. I try to make it happen every week just so I still feel connected to some friends in the middle of the craziness of life. It’s been such a blessing to me. That plus just texting with friends through the week has been really good for me too! Just wanted to share :)

When my kids had after school activities (music lessons, sports practices etc.), most days I would pack a cooler with nutritious food and drinks. It kept me from getting fast food too often, which is not healthy and the costs would add up over time! I also have several scriptures that I will meditate on daily, one is Phil. 4:8 that talks about our thought life. And there is a list of things that every thought should match up with. Focusing on these keeps negative thoughts from taking over my mindset!

I have two older teens and toddler and it is mind blowing to remember back when when my older boys were younger. I have more patience and Grace now for myself and my toddler. It’s important to say that every child is different and every season of life has its ups and downs. You will move through it. Trust me having and 18 year old and 16 year old you miss the days they were little.

I loved watching this! I have three kids also..6,4, and 2. We also sing the grownups come back song from Daniel Tiger at school dropoff!! I’m a SAHM so kindergarten was really scary last year for the oldest but that song is a little piece of magic.

This year was quite the rollercoster for me, I've been dealing with lots of anxiety and indecision over my future. What made the biggest difference for me was prayer, developing and devoting time to my relationship with God. 💓 I bought the prayers book you once showed on your channel and I adore it 🙏🏻 Quiet time and prayer has helped me understand that we really don't have everything in our hands and we should stop trying to control everything.

I am definitly an empath, which really I just mean when others are hurting I hurt. I think most women are in fact this way. When you talked about the time around the launch of your collab and even though you tried so hard to stay out of any drama , drama still ensued and that you were so upset, and Bub having to try and help you through the anxiety and that you lost weight over the pettiness and childlike behaviour of grown women...I tell ya, I wanted to cry and slap someone at the same time, and I am absolutely not a violet women. I am a believer and I actually started morning time with my Bible and journal after watching your morning routine video a while ago, even bought the same bible journal as you ❤. Its very odd to be able to have so many feelings all at once but hey, we are women that is just our normal state of being 😅. I used to watch a LOT of beauty related channels, today I watch you, Tarababyz and Jen Pehlps - both of these women also do not accept sponsorship deals. They accept PR but they are going to say what they want. Neither of them nor you ever say " I think you need this in your life, you really need to jump on this immediatly" and I appreciate this so so so very much. I dont mind if someone genuinely really loves something and are excited to share that with their viewers but wow, sadly i'd say the majority of influencers today no longer hold the absolute respect of their audence, and maybe they really dont care about that. You three are Og's and i'm so delighted I get to be a part of your journey here in this part of your life. I love watching your old videos, I watch your old playlists all the time, they are so comforting to me. Ok, well enough of the sappy love talk, ha ha - this was really a lovely video and as always so straight from your heart, and that is felt deeply by me and I dare say many of your audience. ❤ Edit to add : (yes, there's more can you believe it?
