As someone who is working in a car wash with a small detail bay there are some really dirty car coming and going. The company as a whole full service which is a wash, vacuuming, interior window wiping and dusting. If the car has mold, puke or something similar like that we refuse to clean it.

For me, I keep coming back to this….everyone in the world has 2 minutes a day to find time for something. Two minutes. That’s the difference between getting through a green light or stuck at a red light. Take two stinking minutes and just take trash out of the car and into the garbage can. If it’s a 10 minute job, do it over five days. But there is literally no excuse, no person ‘too busy’ to just take a minute to not live like such an animal.

Another great transformation. Well Done. Some questions post working on cars. What do you do to fuel your body up after so many hours on a car , truck , SUV? Nutrition wise? I remember constantly snacking during my shift while doing this work. Fluids like water, and coffee become regular assistants ha ha ! Do you use Physio services? Exercise? Cardio ? Personally afterwards my arms, neck shoulders needed to be worked on quite a bit. Keeping the body fixed goes a long way.

This is a small automobile, so you wouldn't really see the brown crusty residue left on the plastic fenderwells. Every time I wash either one of our SUV's or my truck, I hand-wash the inner plastic fenderwells. And every few months - although it 'is' a lot of extra hassle - I'll jack up the vehicles and remove the tires so I can hand-scrub the BACK sidewall and get the inner portions of the rims as clean as possible. With that said - I'm wondering if you ever have any request to do that, as well as detail the engine compartment, as I'm sure (from the vehicles I've seen on your videos - in the area that you live in) that it's pretty disgustipating under the hood as well.

They might not be able to clean the car themselves. I need to clean my sisters car. She can climb mountains. And run a house with 3 amazing kids and work. But she has little strength in her hands. She can barely lift a pot off the cooker, never mind hover and presser wash. But I do see your point of view.
@scottwallace1

@@laurenolone5059 a wonderfully kind response. And it’s true. No one can know another person’s life and what they’re dealing with. But…take even ONE MINUTE a day, and just gather some crap up and throw it in the garbage can. It doesn’t all have to be done in a day. But this kind of filth does in fact say something about a person. It doesn’t make them ‘bad’ or awful people. But…it says something. This just isn’t anyone’s definition of normal. There is a wide wide range of normal. But just as violent crime can’t be normalized, nor too can this level of slothfulness. That’s what gets me. Because this kind of inattention and being ok with filth is showing up in their life in other ways.

Yup, it happens. For me with ADHD i have to force a routine every day i collect anything that's not supposed to be there. But put me on a long road trip... Well all bets are off. It'll cascade from a dirty exterior to a dirty interior.ita either ocd clean or chaos. Sometimes you don't know where to start. So taking it to someone else is necessary.

I am always amazed by what state the car is in when it is handed over. Okay, the exterior is like it is, but with this kind of interior here abouts the detailer would ask to at least remove all the loose bits beforehand. Otherwise they'd turn you down.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of cars in US, Canada are full of food left over. 🤔 Why in the world would someone eat in the car is beyond me! I haven't seen many people eating in cars here in Europe. In general people, once a week (at least) we go to the gas station, give it a good spray and clean the inside. I suppose these cars we see in your videos are just extreme cases. Car is a privilege we have. We shouldn't mistreat it.

My understanding is that if you clean the plastics first then you saturate the carpets and use the drill brush, it just flings dirty water all over the pedals and interior so he'd have to clean them all over again.

What l do like about this channel is that they really clean and detail DIRTY cars. I've seen a lot of channels where they detail spotless cars! What's the point?! On the other hand, what we have here is quite extreme! Some owners just don't deserve to own a car! I mean, come on, is that really hard to take 10-15 min a week to give it a good spray and a bit of a cleaning inside?! It's a space where you spend quite a few hours a week! 🤷
