@@JENerationDIY A lot of the stuff you mention in videos - "laziness" "being late to stuff all the time" "weird sleep schedule" are usually pretty tell-tale signs of ADHD, don't wait until your middle age to get tested/diagnosed like I did and realize you could get help. All the little tiny dopamine hits you talk about are just ADHD stuff, dopamine regulation is literally what ADHD is about! It makes me happy to see you develop good, healthy routines for yourself though. :)

Routines, organizational stuff, places for stuff to go back into makes cleaning SO much easier for me as someone with ADHD, especially now that I live on my own!

Embrace your clothes habits! If you just don't put away your clothes, then get a hamper for clean clothes, and put them straight in there from the dryer. Then your dirty clothes hamper will always be available for your dirty clothes. It's going to be way easier to just get a second hamper and implement it in, than try and change that whole habit. We did that for my husband, he just picks his clothes out of his clean clothes hamper.
@javabeanstudio11 ай бұрын
The purgatory clothes could also go in the clean clothes hamper. Because if they're "dirty" enough you don't want them with your clean clothes, then they're just dirty and should be washed. If it's just not worth hanging them back up, then the clean clothes hamper will fix the problem lol.
@ARMA179611 ай бұрын
I just to be soooooo messy, my clothes were everywhere in my bedroom, here is a tipp that helped me 1. basket for clean clothes 1. basket for dirty clothes 1. basket for semi clean clothes „too dirty to go back to the wardrobe but too clean to be washed“ Having these baskets in my room helped me a lot!!!!

2 suggestions:) - 2nd hamper - 1 (edit: maybe comparted?) for collecting dirty clothes, the other for transferring clean - a slim open clothing rack to hang up and air out clothes, that can be worn again before in need of washing (Usually a robovac is a nice addition if you have so much open space but idk with your tendency to throw stuff around on the floor 😬)
@hannaswanberg583511 ай бұрын
I literally got off my couch to turn my computer on to leave this comment after getting to The Chair part of the video but there is a better way!!! I have the same issue and I got a basket for my in between clothes to put in. You can get a cute aesthetic basket like I did (one without a lid so there isn't too much of a visual barrier so things don't pile up) or even just another laundry hamper, but the limited space has forced me to be mindful of the amount of "worn but not dirty" clothes I was hanging on to, and I have been more organized since then. I high key recommend!!!!!!!
@dianadragic11 ай бұрын
Oh I like the idea! Thank you for sharing, will definitely be trying this!

i have a system for the dirty-but-not-really-dirty clothes. I have this clothing rack in my apartment ( no closet lmao bc my apartment is too small) and i put the clean clothes on one side, the once-worn on the other and for clarity i turn the hanger in the other direction for the clean clothes so I can see the difference from the top as well. It has worked well so far :)

Just getting out of a 6 month depressive deep.dive, I am finally getting started with cleaning which is much needed. I got all the empty boxes and trash out of the house last night. I started by moving things into the room they belong then going into each room to tackle the piles. I am exhausted already.

i think the most important thing is to remember the feelings you get after organising/cleaning and putting stuff away straight after using them, that way the mess doesn’t build up and you won’t feel so overwhelmed. i never used to be so organised until i moved out of my parents house and went to uni which was actually quite recent, but before i leave my room for the day, i make my bed and i feel like that has helped so much because i genuinely look forward to coming home :)

Maybe hang up your „worn but not dirty“ on a narrow rack or a coat stand thing so you actually see them to remember to wear them and also they don‘t get smelly and wrinkle
@lz73811 ай бұрын
Grrrrl! In response to your dilemma at 10:15, just get a second hamper! Then you will have a hamper for your dirty clothes and a hamper to keep your clean clothes until you have time to hang them in your closet. There will always be times when you need to do laundry but won't have the time to put those clean clothes away. Two hampers! That's the answer, seriously!
