My mother ironed the sheets in the 60’s, she would let me iron the pillow cases, table cloths, dresser scarves, doilies, so I would know how to iron. With the fabrics today you really don’t need to iron these things anymore, but I’m so glad she showed me how. Linen pants, shirts need ironed. I actually enjoy it.

I don't know anyone who irons bedding..... so strange that people tell you that you need to do that. I don't iron anything. If it's clothing and requires ironing or dry cleaning I don't buy it.

In the UK we are brought up to iron our clothes, in ironed clothes are a no no, but the younger generation don't iron as much, I wish I hadn't spent so many hours ironing, but I didn't have a tumble dryer back then, as we dry our Clothes outside on the washing line in good weather, and on a maiden in not nice weather, my Sister and my niece both iron their bedding, I don't and never have done. I don't like to see creased clothes, and men's and boys trousers (not jeans) should always have a crease in them. 💐

Just a tip for your dryer, the dryer vent from the outside usually should be cleaned out yearly. There are companies that can do that, you would be amazed what they pull out of there. It is a fire hazard if not done., and your dryer will function better.😊❤

I don't iron sheets either. What a wonderful way to show your son that his privacy is of importance to the family. They grow up so fast that sometimes it is easy to forget that young ones have to be taught by example how to have respect for others as well as for themselves.

Ironing sheets is overrated lol...I don't have time to mess with that either! Decluttering is high on my list this year and you're definitely motivating me to do MORE. Your progress is amazing so far, and I definitely see a huge difference already. Less stuff = less stress! ❤

I’ve actually been cleaning the bare minimum before parties, I make sure the bathroom is clean, have new towels and that it’s mostly picked up around the house and I might vacuum the kitchen but only if it’s a mess. I prefer to do the cleaning after the party. I’ve never gotten a comment about this strategy och the state of my home.

I bought our cat a pet dish from Dollar Tree for her wet food. It’s coated in some sort of silicone, and you can literally wipe the food out with a paper towel. Nothing sticks. I bought a few of them so we always have a clean one. Also, I have never ironed our sheets. We ditched the top sheet years ago. We use a duvet so it’s easy to wash.

My mom irons her pretty cotton sheets to this day & it's awesome to look at & on the skin, but then the woman irons almost everything. She grew up during the "you need to be impeccable era". My goal in life is to spend the least amount of time on chores, because it's precious time of my life I'll never get back for something that doesn't even last the blink of an eye. So buying stuff that doesn't need maintenance if I can, & I barely steam some items of clothing to make them wearable. It's such a different view of life

I find that the hardest task to do around my toddler is fold clothes. I normally have to wait for Daddy to come home so I can close the bedroom door and do it, otherwise she gets on the bed when I’m folding and throws clothes everywhere 😭 Edit: We go to Aldi for our groceries and we get far higher quality food for so much less than we would at our local stores.

Our island is the biggest catch all in the house! I try to stick to the rule of 4 on flat surfaces. Only 4 things at a time but it gets really difficult to stay on top of.

Catherine I do have time to iron sheets but why would I, as you say the next day they are wrinkled. Also the whole idea of linen sheets is to give that casual look. I totally agree with you, why waste your valuable time x

I just want to know why you wash your dishes before you put them in your dishwasher? I get a quick rinse to remove food or grease but when you add soap to your sponge, wash, rinse and then load in dishwasher just doesn't make sense to me.

Catherine, best of luck with Sutton and his resistance to eating various foods. My nephew was like that of course this goes back 20 years but they used a reward program with him, every food he tried and ate a certain amount they rewarded him. He also was away for about 2 weeks at Children's hospital due to the fact that they said he was too bonded to Mom and would never eat for her so they took him out of the home setting. Now I don't this they do that anymore but in those 2 weeks he came home eating a more various diet, after about a year it was a non issue. So many things trigger eating for little ones, it is a complex issue. I know once he gets to a physician it will happen. I know you mentioned it take a while for these appointments with specialists.. Many kids have this issue in their toddler stage. Great video! Iron Sheets NEVER!

Suggestion for the cats' food. I definitely understand not putting fish-stinky dishes in your dishwasher but I'm wondering if tuna for the cats is a good idea especially if that's what they eat most of the time. Tuna is not their natural diet (doesn't have the right nutrition profile), it's supposedly highly addictive (they won't want anything else) but mainly i would be concerned about the amount of mercury that they are consuming.

They literally will not eat any other type of wet food, it’s wild, they won’t even touch anything else. They like dry food so we try to get a really good quality dry food. But so far they’re all very healthy and we haven’t seen any issues! Our vet was ok with the brand of tuna we use

I do iron my sheets. I find ironing my fitted sheets assist in folding them very square. I can press them into submission 😂😂. I However would never judge someone who doesn't.

When my grandson was around 2-3 he wouldn’t eat hardly anything but like the Dr said when they get hungry they will eat. He’s 13 now and he eats fine, he doesn’t like vegetables but his mother doesn’t either so she didn’t push them

Honestly, i wouldn't wash my cats bowls in our sink, yet in dishwasher , so you're not alone 😂 And for the sheets, there is like a softner spray that you can spray on the sheets and just straight it with hands! I do it and works wonders 😊 but wouldn't iron it ever, i have a hard time ironing my clothes, where would i be if id iron the sheets too 😬

Rolling folding them in half then in half again and rolling them up really tight helps keep them from wrinkling. I learned that from a hotel I worked at.
