If it helps, I have no interest in becoming a detailer and probably never will. I subscribed to your channel about 3 months at which point my car cleaning tools were a jet wash, b and q bucket and some mer car polish. I now have 3 snow foam lances, GPC,citrus cleaner, fall out wheel cleaner, dedicated shampoo ( all in 5l) three snow foam cannons, a new trigger, new nozzles, a sack of microfibre cloths, synthetic drying cloths and the list goes on. So keep up the great videos, they are compelling viewing and you are head and shoulders the best detailing channel I have come across😃

You did a fantastic job of the Jaguar, well done. Ive been following car detailers to learn how to look after my own car, and I have seen some horror cars like this one. You get a glimpse of the personality of the car owner. I assume that if the outside of the car and the interior are a horror story, I have the belief that the "motor" of the vehicle is also unhealthy.

I did 3 cars for a mate between Xmas and New Year. They weren't mouldy, but they were caked with dog hair. By the time I was finishing the last one, it was going dark, and a fog was rolling in, which made the drying process just about impossible. I was cold, wet, and tired by the time I was done, but seeing the difference made it all worthwhile. My aim for this year is to try and grow my business and hopefully get a little van. Keep the content coming, Dave, and all the best for 2025

Happy New Year Dave. You still managed to do an awesome job though. It reminds me of a Skoda that I did once. Every single surface was covered in mould and, like you, I had to make the best of the tools I had with me. The owner said that I could keep the filthy rubber car mats after I installed new ones they supplied. I still have them now & they're still mould free!

Brutally honest comments at the end Dave. I'm hoping your content creation channels bring you in enough income which is a real blessing compared to some detailers trying to make a living with the unfair customers you mentioned. I love your channel but just some honest feedback, I think you need to do more content, especially little shorts which appear to be the favoured format at the moment. Hopefully this will bring in more subscribers.
@epicautomotivedetailing17 күн бұрын
Thanks Darren, yeah it's a difficult balance when you have guaranteed income from the cars but then big opportunities from KZbin. The problem is revenue from social media content fell off a cliff towards the end of last year so it threw a huge amount of problems so I just prioritised whatever kept me financially stable so sadly KZbin took a bit of a back seat

Soul destroying. A cruel, testing job. I’ve stuck with it from the pandemic, and in NI, I’m one of the last men standing - certainly on a mobile basis. I only do it casually now for those very few, bespoke people I’ve built up over these years. But you have to keep smiling!!!!

Good job mate :) If thats the owners idea of "Oh! Its not that bad" I'd hate to see the state of what he would describe the condition as "a mess" My enighbor is one of those, who leases the car and , by his own admission, never washes it, and might hoover it out a couple of times in the summer, it gives me the willies every time I look at it. Your right, the same people who don't look after their cars would always like to wash theirs, for free, and just let me get on with it.

How on earth does someone let their car get into such a state, leaking window or not? I know I'm at the extreme end when it comes to keeping my car clean (the local birds know better than to sh1t on my car!!!) but even my daughter keeps her little Clio in better condition than that poor Jaguar. Cleaning that car was a hazard to your health Dave, you should have worn a mask even though you were outdoors. I love cleaning cars myself even though its not my day job but it certainly gives me more satisfaction than said day job. Apart from my own, I do my daughters, mothers and aunts cars. All for free, well you don't charge family!! Happy New Year to you from Ireland.

Hi mate, long story short some garage was supposed to fix the roof. They then washed the car and it went away in his garage for a few months. He didn't notice till the other day. Mind you he has loads of cars so he doesn't use this one much. We just prayed for good health on that day 🙏😀

I’m nowhere near the skill level you’re at but I have done several cars for an ex-employer of mine, along with some family and friends cars. I agree it can be a bit soul-destroying, especially when you know they don’t really care about their car or they don’t appreciate how much time and energy goes into it.

I've often thought about starting a business in valeting & detailing but was worried I'd lose the love for it. Its a good call on doing cars for free for people who deserve it - I'll stay the weird bloke in the village who cleans their car too much, chats to everyone and maybe do some other peoples cars gratis. Weve got to do what makes us happy, whatever that is! I do like the videos though pal, so keep them coming if you can 🫡
@epicautomotivedetailing16 күн бұрын
