Always so satisfying Mark to get a really grubby car and see the poor thing come back to life

Couldn't agree more, Martin - people think there's something wrong with me when I see an absolutely filthy car because all I want to do is spend hours cleaning it 🤣🤣

I couldn't agree with you more. I had a non paying customer (friend of wife) who was too embarrassed to bring the car back to me as it was too dirty so she hired in a professional. I was gutted that I missed out on a good transformation.

Excellent video again Mark! Looking forward to the next instalment already. What a great tip on jacking the car up, cleaning that wheel really did look effortless!

Thank you Dave 😊🙌🏼 It definitely makes giving the wheels a deep clean so much easier, especially to gain access to the arches too - the only other thing you could do more is actually remove them completely!!

Great video Mark and you've inspired me to clean the engine on my wife's Peugeot 107 too. Always good to see a video of a really filthy car getting brought back to clean. And I'll definitely be using the phrase if the foams all white the tyres alright. 👍🏻Keep up the good work sir

Nothing more satisfying than seeing the brightness come back from a set of black gloss diamond cut wheels!! 🤩 Superb tip in jacking up the wheel for better access , not only does it allow the wheel to rotate , you can clean the arch liner easier too!! Great job on editing too 👨🏻‍💻 Looking forward to the next one 💙

Thank you Graeme, amazing feedback 🙌🏼🙌🏼 The jacking up & rotating the wheel is a bit of a necessity for me the older I get too - need to take it easier on the wrists 🤣 and yes, makes gutting out the arches so much easier... I just need to remember to do it first 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ you know yourself when your recording you always forget to do something important 🤣🤣 Thanks again mate 👍🏼👍🏼

When you do the interior make sure to strip out the boot, as leaks and mould often in there in bugs
@SparkleanAutos

Unfortunately I didn't actually record the interior cleaning part of it but that's interesting you should say because I do remember some minor signs of moisture! They car isn't used much and is typically garaged but I'll tell them to keep a closer eye on that 👍🏼

I am looking forward to this series after you have teased the process with this film. I seem to use the same method,tools and in the main method as you but we all have our go to chemicals. With regards the jack it is a genius idea for arch cleaning that I only ever used on my JCW for a wheels off clean. I need to get in the habit of doing it for the other cars as it makes so much sense. Who needs rim mats for dressing when the wheels are off the ground . I am lucky that our i-Pace is on air suspension so I can get into my arches with it on full off road height and my jack is probably not strong enough to lift all those batteries anyway. I like to give the engine bay a quick dress with Auto Finesse Dressle to add a bit of bling to the plastic and AF Triple to exposed paint after using the same method as you showed. I am curios on your thoughts on pre washing the whole car before tackling the wheels which I used to do then I stopped and now go straight into the wheels and arches first as that seems to be the way to go and I know it is my prerogative on method but it is good to get your opinion and or thoughts.
@SparkleanAutos
@SparkleanAutos Жыл бұрын
Thanks John 😊 I've found a few processes that work for me and it's nice to hear when others do the same!! In terms of the pre-wash - really this is weather dependent... If it's a cool enough day and I'm not expecting excess heat or direct sunlight, I'll pre-wash the whole car first, wheels included but if it's likely to be warmer I'll just focus on the wheels 👍🏼 And I'm in complete agreement about the rimmats - some people seem to love them but they aren't going to benefit me enough to justify £50... Especially as I know I won't bother using them half the time!!
@johnbrown3951
@johnbrown3951 Жыл бұрын
@@SparkleanAutos That's a good point on the heat/sunlight that didn't cross my mind and £50 on the mats when the four off cuts of decking board I made for the job with those hose guards that you use as well does the same job if I could be bothered to use them.

@@SparkleanAutos That's the trade name for them that slipped my memory. I keep them in my wash buckets with my cleaned brushes and I put them on when I go out and set up my stubby gun and spray my Atom Mac onto my disks so it get's time to work while I set up my kit and fill my buckets and mix my chemicals i.e. snow foam and citrus in pump sprayer and wheel soap in my foamer. I'm too set in my ways I could never be a mobile detailer mind you I take over the kitchen with all my kit it's just as well my wife still goes out to work whilst I enjoy early retirement.

Agreed! I couldn't do it full-time professionally, pure because I enjoy it too much and the pressure of doing it to feed my family and pay the mortgage would take so much of that enjoyment away from it!! I prefer to take my time, enjoy the process and constantly try to find new methods and products that make it even more enjoyable!!
