Man I have had a EZ-Red battery hydrometer and an EZ-Red antifreeze tester for 45 years and they both still work fine. The original bulb and hose are still perfectly functional.

the would require a discharge test that is not diy friendly, However an inexpensive discharge item can be purchased on amazon for about $50> Will Prowse has a video specifically on discharge test on batteries that is relevant to your need

always check to see if your charge controller has a Equalization mode it's usually a manual process and the voltage is preset
