saw your video recommended on my page, which proves the KZbin new policy that says it will give new comers equal reach on the platform. however, one has to have alot of patience and luck. because with good luck that one short or a video can go viral overnight and gives you everything within few hours, or sometime one has to grind and grind. I heard shorts are good to keep engaged your audience and attract new ones. anyway wish you best of luck from India.

shorts have been great for me in terms of subscribers but it's a little frustrating that the watch hours from shorts don't count in terms of monetisation. it's great for building my community though!
