My way of calculating inflation is to look at government spending, since taxation takes the biggest chunk of my paycheck. So: federal budget in 2000 was $1.8T and grew to $7.3T in 2024. So, a growth of 4x over 24 years. This means that on average, government spending grew at ~6% per year.

He was forced to because of his university job. Here in NYC it was almost forced on us.

@@optimusprime6436 Yeah, nah...he has plenty of money apparently. A man with integrity would walk away. I wonder if he knows he's now a node on a mesh network.

He starts with an opinion why this bubble is worse than 1929, then goes on to analytically support his opinion with both hard cold numbers and the widespread data 'tinkering'. Well, things ahead aren't going to be boring. [also, shared]

Nice guest Dave always has great viewpoints But the ads make this unwatchable just to many of them Think its the default For youtube Could you look into it? Thank you

I don’t have too much control. That being said, it costs money to produce a channel and it’s a way to get the money back.

And it’s better than putting it behind a paywall for subscribers.

I know and i appreciate you posting the content for free. And taking the time to create this with great guests. But seems like every time there is a economic downturn youtube ups the ads to the unbearable lvl. ( to push for premium ? ) Think a lot of folks like myself listing to this when i am in the car or when doing cleaning with earplugs in and there is a point where to many ads take you out of the flow of the conversation. But cheers ill still be viewing and listening in the future.

Why not add with your guesses that it may be the US / President is trying to learn more about them rather than destroying them. It is an another possibility but not as dramatic as the president has failed us.

The market tracks total is debt. Do an overlay Sp vrs Debt. So if they ever balance the budget or reduce debt thearlet is coming down... Doesn't look like that happening anytime soon
