@brandonraynor18 күн бұрын
Hey Matthew, I would love to hold a clinic in Ireland if I have enough people. My teacher in the UK Dave Taylor sometimes teaches in Ireland also but if you can arrange some people I would be happy to come over. Best wishes Brandon Raynor.

Why is there so much pain? Is it just bands that are constantly flexed and the nerves become compressed? It always seems crazy to me how much work people need seriously
@brandonraynor16 күн бұрын
Yes that’s pretty much it. Most people under the age of 55 need 10 to 40 hours work from me. Older people may require more if they haven’t got rid of some of the built up tension

@@frankbenedict8992 yeah for me it seems it is the piriformis muscle that causes nerve pain from my calf, through my hip, and up to my lower back. If I apply pressure to my calf the pain in my hip and back is temporary relieved. Stretching and massaging the muscles in the hip relives it more long term.
@asmodiusjones956313 күн бұрын
@@frankbenedict8992 there are muscles deep in the “rear end” area that become constantly tensed because it is very difficult to stretch them in the normal range of motion. (The pirformis muscle). The muscle being over-tensed puts pressure on a large nerve that runs through the rear end and down the leg (sciatic nerve). It takes a long time for the muscle to stretch and relax after being over-stressed. For myself personally, it took about 3 months of sitting cross-legged for 8 hours a day (as a result of Covid work from home in 2020) to finally stretch the muscle and alleviate pain in the area.

Pain is not necessarily equate therapeutic.
@brandonraynor2 күн бұрын
That’s right. Good pain is when you release muscle tightness. Bad pain is when you access the muscle tightness but don’t release it

Hi Doc, can you do some videos without talking? as in a genuine massage experience? It would be the best asmr.
@brandonraynor18 күн бұрын
I do some occasionally but most of my videos are from courses where I am teaching at the same time but yes, I understand why you want the full treatment without talking and I do do that sometimes in my courses after I’ve taught people all the basics then I show them the actual art form .
