Right?! Personally my thought process was more along the lines of “omg. If this were real maybe my brain would finally shut up!” With a side helping of “I am already paying attention to like 5 different things, cute to think you can take up all my thoughts with a fish tank and my own breathing.” Even trying to quiet my mind on purpose using meditation really only takes the active trains of thought down to 1 or 2. Not saying I could resist the hypnosis forever, but I might be able to give this villain a challenge. :P
