I am so happy that we did this one, as I had not done it for a few years, but always remembered how pretty it was hiking up that waterfall and the beauty and vastness of the Glacier Gorge! Blue lake was so pretty sparkling in the sunlight! So, Miljewblablu in da books! Thank you for taking me along, and I'm glad I got to do this with you! ❤😊

Thanks to you and your videos, I took the Fire Trail up to Mills a few weeks ago. Saved so much time and I still got to enjoy Alberta Falls on the way back because I took the regular way back. 😊

That's quite the hike! I was there last weekend and maybe going back this weekend. I always wanted to see what was beyond Mill's Lake. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with you 100% - Mills Lake is absolutely stunning at dawn as the rising sun illuminates surrounding peaks with colors of red and yellow. The Glacier Gorge Trail shines after Black Lake when one ascends above the treeline, where mountains and soaring peaks come into full, unobstructed view. P.S. I gave you a “Like”. You earned it!

Hi Nick, I enjoyed meeting you and your mom on my way back down from Frozen Lake on 9/6! That would be the Miljewblafro hike! I appreciate the great videos you make! Phil

Don't know how your mom just cranks out these 10-mile hikes with 2,000 feet of gain. I hope some day to hike the Glacier Gorge and make it to Mills Lake, that's as far as I could go I think.

Great hike, love the name of the new lakes! Perhaps one day we will see a trail sign with it on there! I think the reason no one goes out there is because its a 4 hr hike an sounds like it was a bit tough even for you seasoned hikers. Not a trail for just the average tourist like me. LOL. It was great though the scerny was beautiful!

MILLJEWBLABLUGR if you take it a step even further lol and I recall the pre-platform mud when first hiking that trail 10 years ago this month!

Is the fire trail the easier way to get to Loch Vale? How doable might it be for us 65+ and 70- ? And, have you ever come across a bear in this main part of the park?
@DENVEROUTDOORMAN2 ай бұрын
Did regular trail with group...never seen a bear in the wild in RMNP
@nicksangetta88742 ай бұрын
@connyjensen1877 The fire trail is definitely a quicker route to Loch Vale. It's the same elevation gain but it cuts 0.6 miles off each way. The terrain isn't as good as the main trail. It's rockier and skinnier and it bypasses Alberta Falls. I have never seen a bear in that area of the park.

@@nicksangetta8874 thanks for your reply. We have seen Alberta Falls and going on to the Loch from there seemed daunting. Making the trek via the fire trail to and fro over a mile shorter is appealing, so we may consider. My only remaining concern is if it is easy to see where it goes as not to get lost :)
