When I saw all the bats 🦇 flying out of the cave . I got concerned that you can get histoplasmosis from inhaling bats poop inside enclosed area as the cave. I’ve seen it here in the country developed that disease in the lungs. The other concern I had what type of hanging snakes and if they were venomous snakes and how quick you could get help from the cave that’s something to keep in mind. I love your expeditions to places usually tourists don’t know about them.

I totally get that feeling when you saw the eel. I did a 4 day trek in the Simien Mountains in Ethiopia and the last morning at dawn we saw 4 teenage Ethiopian wolves playing in the distance. I know how endangered and rare they are and couldn't describe the emotion I felt seeing them and knowing how lucky I was to experience that.

Cool video. The troglodytic fish were particularly interesting. At 13:35 you make a statement that as far as you know, this is the only place world where snakes catch bats like this. Actually, it is well documented in a variety of places including ratsnakes in the US (TX), boas in Puerto Rico, several Python species in Australia and a number of species in caves in Southeast Asia. It is a pretty common phenomenon to find snakes catching bats from the ceiling of caves where it is warm enough.

@@fearlessandfar I think they may hang to an extent. The snakes we’re talking about are younger animals. A retic over a few feet long are going to exiting the cave looking for larger prey items. I’d guess an animal 6’ long would be looking for a medium to large size rat?
